Default PICS? GT3 Emblem swap 991 to 997.2

Hey Guys,

Within the last year, we had a thread where someone replaced their rear GT3 emblem with one from a 997.2 as it is bigger.

I'm trying to find pictures of that as I'm doing the same thing and curious where people have positioned it.

I tried searching the site through google, searching the site and going back 50 pages....my brain hurts.

Could some of you post up some photos if you've got them?

Go to Money's Saphire Blue GT3 Journal thread. He has a complete video on removing the factory GT3 emblem and replacing it with the GT3 from the 997.2

Just a comment. You have to center it by following the black vent. I also purposely cheated mine higher up and I think it makes a difference. I can measure from the bottom of the black vent to the top of the emblem if you like my location. I do not think you want to center it from the bottom of the vent to where it starts bending/rounding

Thanks man, that's exactly the sort of thing I was trying to figure out. Without it being on it's hard to tell where is best. Especially since I'm looking at it now, i can see how it seems more native a bit closer to the vent.

That's a sticker though, not an emblem

Yes, I noticed some of the earlier versions seemed a little low on the bumper (centered vertically) but I moved mine up closer to the black vent maybe 1.5 inches

Also center it with the black vent vertical bars

Thanks! It's nice to see some more examples. I remember a pic of two silver cars on a reddish driveway with a Scandinavian-like landscape. One of the cars was a silver 1.3 that was rebadged as well - just can't find it!

My bad. Do the emblem letters come as individual or are they somehow kept together on a sticky or something? It seems the top of the G is closer to the T than the T to the top of the 3.

Yeah, the 997.2 emblem comes with a template and backing plastic to make it easy to apply and keeps the spacing correct.

I love the RY color. Looks awesome. I always wanted a yellow sports car but just never pulled it thru

yes, there is definitely a small space (purposely) between the GT and the 3

GT 3 not GT3
