No, I think dealers soaking up allocations for themselves might be a bigger supply problem. Hope that's not the case.

Just in case you guys miss it. I posted this in the consolidated RS thread. This came out about an hour or so ago from PCNA. Proposed production delays:

991 GT3 RS (MY 2016)
Option
Description
Status
Delay
991 GT3 RS has a longer production process in the start-up phase.
As a consequence, relevant vehicles might be delayed up to 4 weeks in relation to the allocation month.
These delays are already considered within the expected dates of the relevant orders and are shown correctly in the Order Management system.
Interior
P11
Full bucket seats
From allocation month April 2015 onwards up to 8 weeks delayed in relation to the allocation month.

Just based on how high the demand was for those manual for track junkies and now the additional plappy accepters and enthusiasts.

Whats the alternative? A GT4..
Maybe between all the previous generation GT3's the new the GT4, GT3 and RS demand will be filled..
who knows about demand, its a 200k car, not too many could afford such a thing

Folks, make sure your dealer has your order in the system (V070, pending allocation, commission number generated) if you have a deposit on file or are waiting in line.

This is how PCNA will gauge true demand, and it'll help them in their efforts to secure more allocations from PAG. Remember, PCNA buys cars from PAG and imports them as the sole importer for the North American market. Help them get us more allocs/cars.

This is the boat I believe I'm in despite my dealer consistently telling me that a 4Q allocation will be coming. I wish there was more transparency to the world of allocations so I didn't have to be led along for months on end.

Or they're lazy?

I'm pretty sure they have nothing to lose by doing V070.

Or they could think (correctly or incorrectly) that no future allocs are even remotely possible (it is far too early to truly draw that conclusion based on last experience with PCNA/PAG) and they don't want to run into trouble with you misinterpreting what a commission number and being in V070 status means.

Some dealers just don't enter them until they have a confirmed allocation - that's the SOP at my dealership. I don't know if you can read too much into it.

A reasonable upstanding dealer won't put it into the system V070 unless they are pretty sure they will get an allocation for that customer.

Yup. This ^^.

Sadly, the state we are in is one of a lack of information (even for dealers).

The dealers that do enter them in the system do it because they believe being able to let PCNA know the # of confirmed buyers is more beneficial than the risk of having to deal with a buyer complaining because their order was entered, but never got an alloc attached.

Also, some dealers could enter them in as V070 to let PCNA know, but don't have to inform the buyer. There is nothing wrong with this, it really is just to let PCNA know.

I disagree. This is the only way PCNA can truly gauge demand for more allocs in their fight with PAG to get more production.

A reasonable upstanding dealer won't get your hopes up. But that can be handled without *not* entering you in the system.
