Default Cabin Wind Noise on Track?

Has anyone noticed wind noise in the cabin on track. It sounds like buffeting (like when you have one window down in the freeway). I'm getting it any time I exceed about 90 mph. It gets more and higher frequency the faster I go above 90. It is a rapid, windy, thumping sound.

I have a custom fabricated roll bar in the back, and harnesses. I have checked that all the belts are secure (not flapping). I have also looked under the car to check all the panels etc. All seems fine.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Thanks!

Have read about other experiencing this but I haven't tracked mine yet so dont have 1st hand experience. I think I saw someone isolate the issue to the triangle are on the door above the side mirrors.

I think it's called buffeting and there have been several threads on this. AWE has a deflector piece that some RLers have and there are a few DIY options posted within those threads as well.

I found the parts on the AWE Tuning web site. I'll get it and hope it works.

Thanks!

AWE deflector has been on backorder for at least a month.

I placed strips of painters tape from the side view mirror to the triangular piece of trim at the front of the window. Worked great, but looked like crap. Once AWE gets another shipment, I will install them instead.

As mentioned, the AWE Tuning Foiler™ Wind Diffuser is our solution to the 991 buffeting issue.

We are currently expecting to have stock available again in mid to late May. If you are OK with waiting, ordering now would secure a set on our next batch. I'm available to answer any questions!
