Doubleurx, you really need to consider raising your deductibles to $1000 across your entire line of cars. The premium savings you will realize by doing so will more than cover the $750 difference in the event of a claim. That assumes you even choose to file a low dollar claim in the first place. Across multiple cars, your break even is likely a year or a year and a half. Put that money in your pocket and self insure the first 1000. Over time you will have enough saved to pay a 1000 dollar deductible many times over.
People driving 150,000 dollar cars do not need to insure low dollar events by choosing small deductibles. The same individuals will tell you they don't file the low dollar claims because they don't want to raise their rates.
Just a suggestion, but insurance is best suited to covering expenses you can not comfortably absorb on your own.
