Default Back to the GT3

So it's been a while since I've been here but the last time I was here my GT3 got recalled and it needed a new engine. I guess you could say I took the easy route and got my money back and went and looked at my other options and landed in an R8 V10 Plus. Great car for the right person, I didn't really get any joy out of it and it felt disconnected. After taking a considerable hit on the car I have made my way back to the GT3.

Is anyone selling there used GT3? I would be interested in picking one up until the RS gets here.

Selling @ 500 miles would be a personal record for me :-) My personal "best" so far was 900.

Congrats on the RS!! Too much car for me, but I can't wait for people to start getting them.

Congrats on making the move back. Had a R8 as well, so know your feeling.

There are a few popping up here on occasion--keep an eye out. Also, there are some still that dealers are getting that someone may back out of.

Let us know what you find--you're going to LOVE the 991 GT3

I'm assuming you didn't buy an r8 with a 6mt...
That was your error right there.

Dont get me wrong!!! I LOVE MY 991 GT3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But truth be told this 2015 GT3 was me hedging my bets against the RS.

If my RS came to fruition the GT3 to be sold, but if not i wanted to build a GT3 that i would love and keep for a long long time.

I got my RS allocation. I can play with this car till the RS arrives but my crystal ball wont tell me how much i can sell the 991 GT3 for with 3,000 miles next march so im just testing the waters. I cant loose if i sell it for MSRP now, except the pleasure of driving it of course which can be mitigated by another P car, which is in consideration, only problem is, will it be enough to get me through a year. A few people on here, as well as my wife fell it wont.
AC - I will never miss another summer w/o my toy ever again. I traded my 2011 R8 V10 in June/July of 2013 for the 2014 Gt3 Build which I was supposed to get in Feb - which I got at the end of Aug. So - I sort of missed 2 summers. It is too painful. not worth saving $3000-$5000 and not enjoy those summer drives. In a way though - I did get rid of the R8 back then right before they did a model refresh. The Dealer ended up losing money on the trade because it took them 5 months to move - Moral of the story - life is too short to miss a summer of pleasure. Especially for those of us who live to the NE or Midwest
