I think the fabspeed wind deflectors are way overkill. You only need about 1/2" deflector. Hell at 169.00 I am back in business...LoL

Do it!! Any solution needs some testing to confirm no additional wind noise with windows up at freeway speeds.

I decide to try Mech33's idea! Great idea and very inexpensive! All you need is the wiper blade,
scissors, Double sided tape with foam center, and some rubbing alcohol to clean the surface.

I took it out for a 110 mph trial with only the driver window down and NO BUFFET!

Thanks Mech33! If anyone would like a step by step guide I'll post it.

Total cost: about $20

Here's the link to the blade:

Why only test with the driver's window down? The problem most of us are trying to avoid is when both are fully down at the track. I hope this solution works, but I would like to see more testing with both windows down, and preferably even someone trying it out on the track.

I did try it with both down after I mounted the other side. No buffet at all.
The first trial was just with the driver side deflector on. Wanted to see if it
worked before I did the passenger side. $20 fix does both sides. There is
enough aero blade to do both sides by buying one wiper.
Works great in my opinion. Big Thanks to Mech33 for thinking of this.

Thank you to Rob for the excellent pics and directions and to Mech33 for the idea. I will try this.

Would much prefer something that looks a little nicer than a wiper blade to put on my $150k car

Use it only for track days...looks pretty easy to take on and off.

Surely someone has a 3D printer. This seems like it'd be super easy to make out of ABS with a 3D printer.

Looks nicer than the AWE CF part, IMO.

Then pay the $160 for the solution mentioned in the "buffeting solved thread". But as Rockitman said it is very easy to put on and off for track days. And for that who cares what it looks like when you might even have tape on your car in places. But I agree with you, it would be nice for someone to make one out of Kydex or smooth ABS that's less than $160 for only 2 (1x4 in.) pieces of plastic. 3D printer could do it easy.

I'd happily pay twice that for something that looks a bit nicer and can go on and off for track days.
