If ours is for you, I'd be more than happy to help get them in your hands as soon as we can.

Mike, if you make a OEM looking piece that works, we will buy it.

I want to buy the AWE Foiler but their directions show removal of the door. I heard someone say that you don't have to do that. Whats the real story?

No door removal. It's really simple.

Thank you...does anyone know of directions, or a youtube vid that can exhibit how to install it without door panel removal?

Here is a link to the installation instructions.

The best way to know if you would need to remove the door cards is to remove the interior triangle trim piece on the door panel. If there is a mounting screw visible, the door cards do not need to be removed. There seems to be no clear break down as to which 991's have them and which don't, unfortunately.

Thank you Mike, I saw the directions and to my level of mechanical expertise I am reluctant. I have a 15 GT3 and you're saying this particular mounting screw that makes the install simple or invasive is random?

Thanks Mike, I ordered a pair. Can't wait for them to come in. I experienced the wind buffeting in my 991 C2S which sucked, but in the GT3 its a whole other level of bad. Its disorienting.

I find it disconcerting that in a car like this, Porsche engineers would not have applied such a simple solution. There should be a bulletin at the dealer with a fix.

I completely agree, I mean who doesn't like taking a spirited drive with the windows down. They knew it was a problem for the 991 and let it go.

Exactly...At least with the 991 you could crack the roof and it alleviated the issue. Here they are with a GT3 which is mostly intended for track use where we all know you typically keep windows down and they just let that go? It's not like it would taken immense amounts of time and money to correct it. Ridiculous.

We have been actively gathering information to try and find patterns, but as of yet we can't advise which cars do and do not have the visible mounting screw.

Removing the triangle trim piece to check is a relatively easy process.

Just take an interior trim removal tool and pop it off, it wont break. It's quite flexible.

Porsche blew the wind foil budget on the LWB neck pillows.

I decided to try Mech33's idea! Great idea and very inexpensive! All you need is the wiper blade,
scissors, Double sided tape with foam center, and some rubbing alcohol to clean the surface.

I took it out for a 110 mph trial with only the driver window down and NO BUFFET!

Thanks Mech33! If anyone would like a step by step guide I'll post it.

Total cost: about $20

Here's the link to the blade:

Great fix! Question, goes the rubber slide in or is it held on by double sided tape?
