Are you skipping the 991 GT3 RS, and waiting for the 991.2 GT3
#18
I will be skipping the RS ( thought i think its an amazing car) and keeping my GT3 for now.
waiting to see the 991.2 GT3/RS and will get one of those. especially if the news is they are the last NA engines.
cheers

I have struggled with all of above thoughts many times over. To me it really becomes a timing issue. I deliberately refrain from rapidly flipping cars for small marginal gains in performance (as tempting as that may be).
Having said that if I had ordered my 458 six months later than I did it would have been a speciale instead of my Italia which was ordered before release of the track car. Also had I not ordered and received my gt3 already I would go for the RS. But I can not get my self to upgrade in either case. It's a waste of money for me. Tempting to upgrade but irrational.
I will next look at the 488 track version and the .2 gt3s. The RS is the best 911 right now, until the next one comes out.

- whatever the delta is today it'll be higher next time
- buying now keeps you in the rotation with your dealer
- RS is cheap rent with big up front deposit but you tend to get it back
- too many unknowns with gen2 to sit on sidelines

The day i picked up my 991 GT3 I put a deposit down on a 991.2 GT3... Just in case. If it's NA I'll get it. If it's turbo I keep this one. RS is just a bit out of my price range.

Very interesting thread.
I'm hoping that a lot of current 991 GT3 owners DO NOT skip wanting a RS, and sell me their GT3.
And I'm saying this even being #2 on my dealers list for a GT3 RS. (not an allocation, since she is not sure she will get 2). I'm struggling with the price......but who knows?

I am trying not to get into the high end tube audio. I am sticking with my collection of vintage fender/marshall tube amps.
