I'm embarrassed to let you know that they have a strong "Harley" sound on the overrun... Like a throaty dragster with Unburnt fuel stuck on the pipe as soon as I get off the gas... Under acceleration they sound like the most brutal 2-cylinder machine you've ever heard

regarding the stockton and broadway tunnels... go under them every day.. had a cop waiting with a speed gun at the end on a few occasions... have fun but be safe. if you see a 749R, a modified hypermotard, or a wacky looking completely custom cafe bike... race me. I'll be joining you soon with gt4.

They do indeed.

But most any car radar detector (i.e., Escort, Beltronics, etc.) will also work on a bike.

But we are not going to be so elitist… We can disclose the location. I would be happy to host morning breakfast on my roof in telegraph Hill… And as I don't have a car yet, I suggest the first ride will be on Ducati motorcycles to Berryessa.

I'm in. Take the 128 and 121? Awesome roads.

Sigh...my 749R is a track bike. I would have to tag along in my cage.

I have a highly modified hypermotard, outside of magnesium rims and carbon everything, The engine was built from the case up, by the lead mechanic of the fast by ferracci team. It is a showcase of what you could do with the 1100 air cooled engine… Up to 70-80 miles an hour very few sport bikes can stick with it. Behave and it's yours for the day, I wouldn't leave any rider stranded in a cage while others are riding.

We have a great private forum going where people are sharing information freely and when we are all done, we will obviously post pics and details about the event. Anyone is welcome, and if when people decide to attend (or in several cases are just thinking about attending) we set them up on the private forum and they can see all of the logistics.
Thank you for your input as we went through the planning of this event, it was very helpful.

The reasons for our group to keep things contained are for safety, gate crashers, and other obvious group driving and organisational related issues. You being an experienced group organiser should know why one would need to do this.
In addition to sgroers comments, re your recommendations, please be aware that there are many others in our group that have had many years of experience on driving in the area as well as suggestions on where to stay. We took them all into account when planning our event.
I'm going to leave it at that, but remain disappointed at your swipe.

Gees guys, are you kidding me? Please notice many of my posts are humorous, and always good natured. Alan, haku, sgroer, how long have you been on forums?.. Why so sensitive? As you know I myself have taken on the burden of organizing large group events like yours, and was making a good natured jab.. The word "elitist" throws you like that? Let's not be a bunch of ladies ok?..
Good god.. Reread my post with the right mindset and laugh please! Ask Macca, Mike in Ca, Eduardo and all the others if you need a loving pat on the back an this... We are all cheering on your event and looking forward to some amazing pictures from it.
Sadly, I think I'm Gonna walk much more cautiously moving forward.. I can see my humor can be taken quite differently. What a pity.. It had been so much fun to clown around with everyone.
