Actually the GT3 works pretty well in San Francisco.
Is it fun driving over pothole infested streets? No. But does it work without scraping the car? Yes!
Also while there are definitely some bad streets in the city, the vast majority I have driven so far are OK-ish. And honestly the streets are not more comfortable in my Boxster either
I am happy I got the lift but I need it only for driveways and gas station entries in SF... didn't have to use it in a street.
LA was a different story though, had to use the lift twice to on intersections that were so potholed that you could sink a car in there...

I love SF but couldn't live there full time. Pied-à-terre in the city and place on the peninsula or Marin is the way to do it.

You haven't lived until you've driven your 3 through the Broadway tunnel at 7k RPMs with the windows down.

I just drove my GT3 in SF last Friday ...

It felt like a video game with a lot of obstacles on your way and you need to move super quick from side to side lol ... It was fun

Don't drive in pothole just fly over it

some of these avatars are becoming more fun to look at than whats written on the forum... I realize how much i'm missing out when I read on the phone instead of on my mac.

regarding the stockton and broadway tunnels... go under them every day.. had a cop waiting with a speed gun at the end on a few occasions... have fun but be safe. if you see a 749R, a modified hypermotard, or a wacky looking completely custom cafe bike... race me. I'll be joining you soon with gt4.
