I have Passport 9500ix and Redline in various cars. Had a V1, but it stopped working in under two years, after warranty expired, so won't buy again, but the arrows were a nice feature. 9500ix has good GPS-based memory feature. Redline is invisible to radar detector detectors (unless the technology has changed). Of course, none of these provide good warning of laser.

I like the Passport 8500 ci because I like hidden installs and Passport has GPS to learn false signals, unlike the V1. I don't use LASER jammers because it's a misdemeanor in TX if the cop is having a bad day.

I have owned the following installed detectors so far and prefer the new Escort 9500i with the new Laser Shifters the most. I also have a Bel STi-R with Blinder shifters that works well too. My least favorite is the K40 with shifters. I would not buy a K40 system again.

I have had a V1 for a couple of years, sending it in for a $99 upgrade to reduce the false K warnings due to blind spot technology and traffic flow monitoring systems.
Never tried laser shifters, reading that Laser Interceptor works well and has a parking assistant switch if you get pulled over in a state where such technology is illegal, like Texas. Given the GT3 has no park assist, it may serve a dual purpose.
Any suggestions on laser shifters?

I have done loads of research and will feel that the following is the best route for an installed system:
- Bell StiR Plus radar
- AI Priority laser shifter
AI Priority is the only laser system that covers the latest guns and is software upgradable for new guns as they come out. Supposedly, Laser Interceptor is coming out with a similar system but I have not heard much about it yet.

Radar Dectors
Have Escort installed (front and rear - hidden) on GTS daily driver. Necessary, as D.C. and Virginia are NO detectors allowed. Use V1 in others and move from car to car. Actually, no noticeable difference, except arrows and bogey count really helpful in V1.

STiR plus with blinder shifters, never had a ticket. Running the same setup for a few years now.
I can switch off either the shifters or detector separately, so when I'm getting hit I can slow down to the speed limit, switch off the shifters and they get that as the speed reading.
