Quick help please. What is fair price on used 2014 GT3?
Porsche of Colorado Springs has a used 2014 GT3 in Guards Red with only 35 miles on it. It's optioned with PCCB's and axle lift which I want.
They are asking msrp and it is not CPO'd. It is in fact a buy back from the customer who bought it there originally.
What's a fair price for this car given that some 2015's are available out there for msrp.
Does a buy back effect how the car is titled? Will this show up as a lemon law
title? It will be titled in Iowa.

Discount would be preferred, but it will sell at MSRP. Most important factor for me would be whether it's optioned the way I want. The car is basically new, and most likely not a thing wrong with it. You have to decide whether the title issue is a factor for you. I bought a buyback car, but it crossed state lines, and the title was "washed" due to the laws in my state. Carfax will always show the buyback though. I don't plan on selling this car for a long time, and even if I decided to and took a hit, the enjoyment factor is worth it to me.

It will be titled as a buy back, or lemon car. Most of the time, that title is like leprosy, never goes away. In some states (don't know which), the branded title goes away after you sell it the firs time. I don't know what a fair price for this car would be because we don't really know what's the subsequent resale would become, if that makes any sense. I know someone who paid over MSRP for a buy back 991 GT3 but 2-3 years from now, it may be a different story. I personally would be a bit hesitant to buy it at MSRP.
Edit: As Jpacione said, crossing state lines can sometimes "launder" the title.

Wouldn't touch it without a $10k to $20k discount. I say that based on what I think would be a good trade value for my '15 in 3 to 6 months. This isn't even considering the buy back issue.

Also, at least in Texas, two dealers I spoke with sold two '14 buy backs in the past 90 days for $10K OVER sticker.
Supply and demand (but I'd buy a '15 in heartbeat over a '14).

I have a 145k msrp car. I considered trading for a 458/430 scud not even 2 months ago and bailed at the last minute. The DEALER was willing to give me 140k trade in even after I beat him down 10k on the other car.

I would look for a '15. I would rather pay10k over for a '15 than any '14 at MSRP. I would not get a buy back car. Why have a 140k or so car with a story.

Pay 10k extra today, or pocket that money now and POSSIBLY lose some or all of it on the trade in X years...just sayin'

I too have noticed from internet searching and phoning dealers that a lot of major market Porsche dealers are asking over msrp on 2015's. They have large pockets of wealthy customers that smaller markets do not have.
However, at least one, Beverly Hills, was willing after some haggling to sell at msrp, but did not quite have the car I wanted. However I have found some 2015's for msrp at medium sized dealerships.
Although it has about $4000 worth of stuff I would not have ordered, the 2014 I posted about isn't missing any options I would have ordered, so this is why I am interested. To spend this kind of money I need both the car I want and a price that makes sense. To me a buy back 2014 isn't worth what a new 2015 is. I will check with the state of Iowa and see what happens to the title tomorrow.
I was hoping some forum members that had bought buy back cars could give me a better idea of how much less to expect to pay.

If the RS is as "easy" (and that is a joke of course) to get your hands on as GT3, then maybe I might aqueous, however it will not be an easy car to get your hands on--and $20K off is not going to happen on GT3 in 3 months...sorry. Again we'll re-group in 9-12 months from now to compare notes.
