Default 991 GT3 vs 997.2 GT3 @ Sebring

Here's some (not perfect) footage from PBOC Winterfest at Sebring when I was following a 991 GT3. Both on cold tires, but you can see how the 991 GT3 pulls out of each turn and shift point.

I only needed to see the first lap. Youre a way better driver. You should be in a faster run group.

New rotors and PFC08 pads for each corner for the event.

Warm-up laps are just that. 991 was an instructor with a student as a passenger. I'm just a Canadian on the wrong coast in the wrong country.

Thanks! I am driving very sloppily as well. I am blaming cold tires and weight. Couldn't get my clean 2:25 in, but a few 2:27's aren't too shabby I guess.

Just warm-up laps my friend. Too bad this run group isn't that aware. The same run group Thurs/Fri had a much higher level of driver and far faster cars. Wish I could get more point-bys to REALLy gauge 991 GT3. May have a go at PCA 48 hours.

What's considered a good laptime on that track? Trakcar? Looks sloppy by both cars. Mike

in any GT3 with R compunds;

High teens is exceptional. (2:15-2:19)
Low to mid 20's is where you want to be.

TRAKCAR is in the high teens with both a 4.0L and a 3.8LRS

From inside SSTHO's car.
Not much room left to go faster and 2:24 is hauling *** with a passenger on Nitto's.

Watch the last corner entry into T17, as well as the entry under the bridge.. Just awesome.

The 991 GT3 is exponentially faster than any .1 or .2 , it's not even close. Just wait until more of the good 7 drivers crossover, then you'll start really seeing what they can do.

Porsche 997.2 GT3 (Sebring Reference Laps) - YouTube
Peter ,

Sunday , second session did back to back 23's best clean lap 2:21 running
total stock set-up on cup2's psi climbing to 38F and 42/R got real greasy
slow exit on T16 , starting out 29F 33R psi
Drove whole event in manual /floppy's with shocks soft setting, nannies on
Kidding with Varela that counting on full PDK sport to get me sub 20's
Deacon
