991 GT3 vs. the triumphant 991 TTS?

You can feel the increased weight in the turbo at low speed. But it disappears in corners.
Also the turbo charge engine behaves differently. Makes the driving experience very different imo.

Where is the weight difference coming from when you have two awd 911's? Two turbos and associated plumbing can't weigh much right?

I've noticed the same difference in traffic between the GT3 and Turbo forums,
having switched from a GT3 to a Turbo for AWD, ground clearance and power at altitude due to a move to Colorado. My guess is that GT3 owners are just more hard core. In a perfect world with enough garage and money, I would own both.

In my opinion part of it is how they've setup the TTS steering, I think the heavier feel is partially artificial to get it more GT like. Still a great car, but I'm waiting to see what they do for the '16 model refresh and will probably order a new TTS again...

I owned a 997.2 Turbo for several years and now the 991 GT3. Turbo is a great car and hard to knock. But the rawness of the GT3 coupled with 9000 rpm redline, NA, and rear wheel drive is just a better set up for me. No doubt the Turbo a better DD and great in any weather but it just does not move me like the GT3s

I haven't commented on this thread since I've never owned a Porsche Turbo / Turbo S.
I do question the title, the title pre-supposes that the TTS is "triumphant" in a TTS to GT3 comparison. When comparing any two cars, the context / requirements / intended use of the buyer is so very important - for me the GT3 fills a particular need in my colleciton.
Perhaps the OP meant "omnipresent"

i know it is not meant as a cruiser. flame me
but:
can you travel in the gt3 for several hours without ears hurting? can you drive the gt3 soft in low rpm3 without tiring noise?
or is this all no problem because you are on adrenaline 190percent anyway?
thank you for listening

Took a 2.5 hr ride to Sebring in a GT3. Between the obnoxious noise, the small plastic racing seats and the punishment on my spine/kidneys I will never ride in one of these cars again. It was punishment. My 991 TTS is an amazing car and beautiful in stature, gets too many looks and stares. I guess not being a track person I just dont get the hoopla about the GT3. But, to each his/her own, I am a P Car lover and the GT3 is stunning, no doubt, just not for me.
