Default Need advice...Good buy?

Hi guys,

Thinking a lot about making the switch to the 2014 GT3 from my 2012 991S.
I'm in Detroit and there's one close by that's never sold but the dealer punched the warranty ticket.
They want to sell for $145,720. MSRP is $150,720.
35 miles on Odometer

2014 991 GT3
Rhodium Silver Metallic
Black/Alcantara Guards Red Stitching
Leather Interior Package with Decorative Red Stitch
SiriusXM
Chrono Clock
LED with PDLS
Sound Package Plus
Front Axle Lift
Seat Heating
Auto Dim Mirrors
18 way sport seats
Seat Belts in Guard Red

What do you guys/gals think?

Thanks for your help!

Josh

Are you sure the title is clean and not salvaged?

If clean, and you like the build, it seems ok. You could also find one nationwide that you can build and get a 15 for MSRP.

Porsche dealer where it's at states it's clean and not salvaged. Apparently, someone ordered it but changed his mind? They didn't make him purchase it...This is according to the salesman.

Looks like a good deal to me.
Make sure you ask for the extended warranty.
Highly unlikely that it would be salvaged (Highly unlikely that the buyer drove the car for 35 miles and sold it back, its like driving it out of the showroom and then drive it back).

You are essentially paying 5k below MSRP for a new car and an extra year of warranty.

The car is also nicely optioned.

If the dealer "punched the warranty ticket", it concerns me that it might have been sold before but I am paranoid. I would want them to specifically show that it is not a "manufacturer buy back" title and/or do a carfax check (not sure how fast the info shows up on those reports). If it is not, then yes, this is a great buy as $5 K below sticker is very unusual, unless they are killing you on your trade (told you I'm paranoid).

Don't forget, if you sell the car it's a model year older and, will have a history of having it's engine replaced.

If you buy it, ask for that extra year of warranty (4 years) that go with the 2014s. It otherwise sounds like a good deal.

Remember it's not the salvage title, it's potentially a branded title via buy back/lemon law. Verify that with carfax first.

+1

That's not paranoia. Just being careful.
