I would snag a '15... you won't keep it forever and with a '14, your exit will be plagued with explaining all these details and will end up selling at a discount. Net, Net $5k savings is not worth it, IMHO.

If you LOVE the options and color, get it. Otherwise find a 15 you can order. The $5k is negligible

The salesman just text me (midnight here) and said it's not a buyback. Fresh from the factory and was not sold previous.

The 20 from the first auction. There was at least one other auction, perhaps two. Too bad they don't have title insurance like with a house!

If you are willing to travel a little, you can get a brand new 2015 for $145K.

For $5k under MSRP, or just $145k list? $5k under MSRP is a great deal. Clearly deals are getting to get better as all the 2015s start pouring in over the next 4 months.

+1 - Getting a '15 is a better call. Lots around if you're willing to wait.

$145k MSRP . Vehicle is on the ground. 3% off of a year old car does not seem like a lot to me. I would rather pay a little more or have a few less options and get a 2015. JMO.

Not a terrible deal, but I would double check to ensure you're not being killed on your trade and actually paying more for the GT3? I did the same traded a 991S on my GT3 which was a 2013, and I got 10k more on my trade. Of course not sure what options you have, and I had less than 5k miles.

Lastly, the longer you keep the 991S the value will keep droppinng as 2015 is a month away, and yes the car will be a year older. The 2014 and 2015 is the same exact car, and there's value to building a car at this price point to get what you want vs. someone else's idea? Good luck, but you have some options to way. The wild card is your trade which I think is skewing the actual cost basis of your deal.

500 more will be available on dealer lots? Or does this number include ordered cars already spoken for?

My guess is the 500 includes ordered cars.....

The 2014 is an OK deal but you're in Detroit.... winter is upon you.....I would find a 2015 at MSRP.....
