GT3 PTS
I ordered my 2004 GT3, PTS (voodoo blue) in the spring; the build date completion was 9/03/14, and I picked up the car on 10/18/14 (other options: LED headlights; front axel lift; sports chrono; leather interior package; sports adaptive seats; red instrument dials, stitchings, and belts; extended fuel tank, and a few other options).
Right after I got the car, I took to a trusted installer for paint protection film (X-PEL ultimate) covering the vulnerable areas, supplemented by application of C.QUARTZ nano ceramic coating of the entire car including the wheels. I have driven the car for more than 500 miles now, and I would like to share my preliminary observations on attributes of the car conceding that objective full assessment of car's performance may not be possible due to the mandated 2000-mile brake-in interval during which slightly less than 50% of maximal permissible RPM can be used (4200).
Despite the caveat , I must say that for far, it is an amazing and entertaining car
1. Engine is exceptional; the idle is lumpy, typical of GT3 engine. Above idle RPM, engine is smooth with a good linear power delivery
2. Throttle response is lightning quick.
2. PDK sport is outstanding; gear changes (up and down) are almost instantaneous (even in normal mode); I usually use the manual mode. I have no issues with those who wish for manual gearbox in this car.
In fact, I am very comfortable with toe-and-heal technique because I have been doing this for the past several years (2-3 decades) and I don't even think about it when I am doing this. Nevertheless for me PDK sport in GT3 is light years ahead of manual transmission, and I would not have hesitated for a moment to order the car with PDK even if it were an option. I would suggest that those who lament the demise of manual gearbox in GT3, they at least try the PDK sport (preferably after the brake-in period) before the blanket denunciation of Porsche and the buyers who choose PDK
3. Steering is wonderful, direct and very communicative even though it is electric. To the chagrin of Porsche traditionalists, it is certainly better than my 2007 997 turbo (with a manual transmission!!), or even better than my previous 2005 911 GT3 which I drove it for 8 years, or the unassisted steering of 1987 Carrera 3.2
4. Brakes and suspension: are flawless and second to none. I have standard cast iron disks.
Negatives: If you drive the car like grandma (LOW RPM, low speed) you will be disappointed; this can happen if, in normal mode, the transmission is in AUTO because of unusually rapid progression of upshifts ; the car is underpowered and there are unusual noises. (My service adviser has assured me that it is normal).
PTS: Voodoo (magic) blue is an unusual color. It is basically darker blue, but its shade, hue and intensity adapts considerably to ambient light; in sunlight it is light blue and in low ambient light it id much darker, hence voodoo

What a special car! Congratulations and enjoy! Thanks for the write up and photo, but please post a few photos in different light. (And I'm pretty sure you meant 2014, not 2004.)

Three Wheelin'
aeGT3....that is an incredible GT3 you have there and happy to see you took full advantage of your available PTS slot. Love the color and think the black wheels look incredible against voodoo blue. I hope you plan a lengthy photo shoot so we can appreciate it even more!

Thank you everyone for your kind words, concerns and suggestions. I am trying
to get more appropriate pics. Eduardo is correct that the posted pic may not be
a true representative of voodoo blue, as the actual voodoo color is more blue or
as Eduardo phrased it "a richer blue". That posted picture was taken under
direct bright sunlight. I should thank Eduardo for providing us with samples of
voodoo blue. I was trying to upload darker blue pics, but somehow
I was not able to do so. I have reviewed my existing pics and found lot of them
unsatisfactory. I will do my best to get a more representative pictures and post
them as soon as I can.
Once again, I very much appreciate your encouraging words and suggestions. it is a wonderful car in whatever color one chooses, perhaps with the exception
of pink!

Oh, man. That's cool and beautiful ! You must be the happiest on earth.
Am waiting for my PTS Riviera Blue and with you pic that helps me to think I have not made a bad selection. Have not taken the black wheels despite my wife's recommendation but have to admit it's such a nice combination. More pics, please !!!!
Congratulations.
