PTS production?
Can anyone tell me when the next PTS will enter into production?
My car was supposed to be produced in October. Riviera Blue,PTS.
My dealer has no clue about the production and I am now wondering when production will take place. It's confusing. I would appreciate your guidane. Thank you.

I thought most of the PTS were finishing up production right about now.
Your dealer should be able to give you exact dates. Unless you just ordered and he's only recently submitted the order. In that case, you won't get PTS.

My order was placed in July and the dealer told me it'll be an October production. Now he is not able to give me a date. Not surprised though, as they have been inefficient so far by all means.

It should have been done already, my car is a November slot (moved back for the US buckets) and went into production today.
If he can't give you a date now, did he truly have a slot for your car? Did you see a commission number? Dealers can give you this screen at any point you ask:

a) No PTS possible in December 2014.
b) MY2015 gt3 production would be finished by end of 2014, period!
Who else is being told NOW that production of their MY2015 991 gt3 will run into January or later, PTS or no PTS?

My optimistic thought for you is that if you did order and confirm PTS back in July, that perhaps your car made the cutoff for PTS. There are cars delivering now with it, I just don't know about October production or later. There are several of us that tried ordering cars in August/September that were told no more PTS for 2015 GT3.

Can you clarify for us the circumstances of your PTS gt3?
a) Are you a Cat C old MY2014 that go pushed into MY2015?
b) Are you a new allocation MY2015 gt3 that was able to get PTS?
c) If so, what date did your dealer gave you this allocation so that you were able to get PTS on a MY2015 gt3?
d) You are from NY so we assume a US allocation, correct?
This information would be useful for our discussions. Thanks.

It was posted on this forum that sources at PAG/PCNA told them that:
a) No PTS possible in December 2014.
b) MY2015 gt3 production would be finished by end of 2014, period!
My car was moved up three weeks and is now scheduled for delivery 12/26. Dealer said they were trying to close out in December.
If you think about it why would they want to flush the line before the holidays and then come back and start building GT3s again if the RS is next. Manufacturing needs time to adjust their systems to accommodate all of the new items and changes for the RS. It doesn't happen overnight. I've worked several new vehicle launches with different manufacturers as a steel supplier. A small problem can turn into a fiasco in a heartbeat. They are relying on a global supplier network to deliver everything to spec and on time. I never witnessed that situation.

Hello Eduardo,
JPSchnegg is not a catC, he got an allocation in Abu Dhabi for a 2015 GT3.
he was able to get PTS and he did get as well a comission number.
he got confirmation in July so based on my calculation (with previous discussion) from Porsche Exclusive in Germany, PTS confirmed means production November.
he is just scared but in few days everything will be OK

But it goes to prove my point about how PAG & PCNA dropped the ball for the US/Canada market for new MY2015 gt3 allocations. I started questioning Rennteam Europeans & Middle Eastern customers back in June of 2014 to see if anyone had an early MY2015 allocation & production date. I never got a reply. But it doesn't surprise me that European and Middle Eastern MY2015 991 gt3 customers got their allocations early (e.g. July of 2014) which enable them to schedule 'normal' PTS in time for their vehicles. What Porsche AG & PCNA did for their US customers & dealers was inconsiderate. They dragged their feet and finally released the new 991 gt3 MY2015 allocations all bunched up in September, then blocked the possibility of PTS builds in December and subsequently announced gt3 production would end by Dec 31st of 2014. That put a time crunch on 'Porsche Exclusive' (which needs 3 full months from locked order to start of built date) which prevented almost all (if not all) new MY2015 991 gt3 customers in US & Canada from being able to order PTS this late in the game! I am pissed...but that is nothing compared to how Mr. Sullivan, Montoya, djcxxx & others loyal customers feel about their inability to get PTS on their gt3 custom orders! Frankly, it's a damn shame and it's another case of mismanagement at PCNA.
