Price of the bucket seats if ordered separate

i.e. you have 4 or 18 ways, and want to order a set of buckets after the fact? (I don't think that is an "option" any more if that is the case)
I am also in this boat.

I am pretty sure, as of now, the exact, non-folding CF seat is not yet available. Suncoast would be the resource to constantly be checking. Now, there are some members that have put the GT2 foldable CF bucket seat in their new 991 GT3. Need to do a search.

You may have to wait till spring 2015 to order buckets for your 991 separately. Likely will be in the range of 8-12k is my guess. This makes the 4600 option at build worth it if you can get it. I couldn't. My build starts this Friday Halloween. 4 way was a no added cost option. I added seat heating for the wife.

Nobody knows what they will cost or if/when they will be available.
The closest seat at the present time is the non-folding Euro GT3 carbon fiber seat. Suncoast sells those for $17,900. The new 918 seats may be more than that as the driver seat has electric height adjustment and the seats also have air bags.
Even the folding GT2 seats are now $9250 at Suncoast. The 918 seats will certainly be more.
As mentioned, the least expensive way to get them would be to order a 2015. Otherwise, an aftermarket track seat will be the best option.
Makes one wonder - why would you order a 2015 GT3 without the seats? It's like throwing away money.

I am ok with not having them. I have GT2 folding buckets in my 997.1 GT3. I am happy that we are arranging courtesy delivery from the east coast (selling dealer) to the PNW (delivery dealer). These are not the easiest things to arrange. One local dealer in our area was not interested (for various reasons).
BTW I bought my full leather GT2 buckets 2 years ago from Isringhausen for 6200 and had alcantara inserts made by Ted for 350. Buy low sell high...right?

First cars with the lightweight buckets hit the line this Friday 10/31. With only a couple of months a production available for this option and not everyone ordering them, cars with OEM buckets will be fairly rare. Can't wait to get mine!
