Default Track Tire Pressures

last time out pretty much stuck with street pressures which seemed pretty solid but tomorrow going to experiment with pressures a bit and watch temps. Anyone have any data they have been collecting or advice - this is on stock M tires. thanks

I think as a general guide for the dot street tires, running the hot pressure level at the stock cold pressure level is a good place to start and bleed off or add more accordingly.

So far the best car felt while I was running

29 F Hot
31 R Hot

I usually start around 25 F, 25 R then adjust the hot pressures after few laps to match the above hot figures. FYI, I run very conservative alignment, (camber.....-1.9 F, -1.6 R) as not to sacrifice drivability on the street. Perhaps with more aggressive camber setting, the optimum tire pressure might be slightly different.

I have also recorded some tire temperature figures at various hot pressures & ambient. I am going to dig up the data in the next few days and share with everyone. Mark

For my E92M3, the "optimum" tire pressure varied from track to track. Also depending on CW or CCW orientation, I ran one side 1 psi lower. I just finished GT3 break-in period so I have had only one track day at Autoclub Speedway Roval (CCW) - 30/32L and 29/31R at about 98F ambient. Good luck!
