I think these seats are the single best option available. If I could only get one option and no others, the lightweight seats would be it.

I got them (european version) the backrest and a small part of the side of seats are carbon fiber they are a master piece, they Do fold only to the front (the backrest) so you get easier access to the rear of the vehicle, you can move all the seat manually. You can't adjust the backrest, but they are very comfortables, i thought they were going to be hard and uncomfortable but they are awesome. You feel right away the grip your body gets out of this bucket seats...

Buckets vs sofa....even if you don't track, you will feel more connected to the car and the road. It is a night and day difference in driving feeling. I felt that way with my 996-3 any way...no reason to feel different with this car.

How hard is it to clean the back window if you've got the bucket seats?

This is the most reasonable thing I've read on this site, ever.

^^^^^ yup! painful but true. For me, the seats would be very positive, but without the "fold forward", I'd lose back storage and it'd be more like a Cayman interior for dd use.

Going to put them in my 2015 which should be at my dealers within a week.
My wife also liked them

Has anyone that ordered buckets in the US had their car enter production yet?

Mine was originally scheduled to enter production on 11/4 (first date buckets were going to be available). It's now scheduled to enter the line on 11/11.

Just wondering where any other bucket cars are scheduled.

Got them in mine. Barring the DD / Oversize individual consideration I just felt like these were more true to the spirit of the car. It will be a weekend / track car for me as well. Consider again the amount of these cars going to have this option and you are in the minority of the minority which ultimately I think will make the car more attractive for resale should you ever want to sell. My .02.

Thanks to those on here that set me straight when my original config contained sofas.

Mine goes in same day 10/31 and exits production 11/7. But Porsche rejected my orig order with lightweight buckets and substituted 18 way which I changed to 4 way when my sa said I couldn't get the buckets. So go figure.
I do have gt2 buckets in my 997.1 gt3 though. 😟
