Default So who's getting an aftermarket exhaust and why?

Hi guys,

I have a GT3 on order. I am have been going on youtube to listen to exhausts and also listening to the stock exhaust. Of course you can only tell so much from a video opposed to actually driving in the car or hearing it go by. That is why I need your help.

From what I understand the stock exhaust sounds awesome. Now I am not as much concerned with weight savings and power advantages. I am more concerned with sound. However, I do not want it to be obnoxious either.

So far I like the SW, the IPE, and the Cargraphic. But again, I am going off youtube so perhaps I am just hearing the sound of an awesome engine and some vids are recorded in a way that sounds more appealing and the stock exhaust is just as good.

I ask then who is getting an exhaust and why, and which one are you considering? Thanks for your help.

No car yet but already have my SW....from what I've heard on the videos and feedback from other members it seemed like the way to go.....plus it was "only" $1,200 so if for some reason I don't like it most likely easy to sell it to someone and only lose a couple of dollars.....

SW by-pass, and the dealer will install upon arrival. My buddy has it, and it sounds awesome ....i sent him the vieo and he purchased it. Owner of mutiple P-CARS including GT3 RS 4.0, and he swears this car is a step function better than the 4.0 all around driver/track.

I had an RSS X-Pipe on my 997.2GT3 and it made the car the best sounding sports car I have ever heard. I prefer it to Ferraris, Cup Cars, straight pipes, etc.

I don't like the sound of the clattery DFI 9A1 engines and hope the X-Pipe (assuming they will release a 991 GT3 version) will help mask that sound enough so that I can pretend I am still hearing the smooth howl of the 997.2GT3.

I already tried to buy back my 7.2GT3. The owner wasn't interested, so I had to break down and somewhat regretfully order a 1.1GT3. I miss the Mezger. I am optimistic the handling on the 1.1GT3 will help me forget about the Sanford and Sons sounds coming from the 9A1.

Had the SW on my '09 Carrera S and I have an SW for my GT3 that hopefully will be delivered soon. Super easy DIY install, no droning, minimal increase in interior decibels, favorable exterior sound, what's not to like? Quality product. Sold my old one for 33% of msrp after 5 yrs.

I'm very happy with the SW bypass on my new GT3. It's tame until revs rise and then it sounds more thrilling than stock. Fantastic service too. 5 days from order to delivery in Australia.

I have the SW bypass already but still waiting for the car. When PSE is off, there is very little difference and I can turn it on at the track.

Sharkwerks Bypass with Black Lightweight RS Tips. I'll make a much better video of it once I get it on the car.

Does installing an aftermarket exhaust system void the car's warranty?
