Just posting to say hello.

Today purchased a brand new 2014 GT3 and will most likely have it early next week.
Very excited about this car. since it has immaculate reviews and was always interested in the previous version.

Currently among others I have a 2009 430 Scuderia. I am sure the Scud is more raw, but also have heard that the GT3 keeps you connected. Once I have the GT3 will write a review about both and how they feel and compare to each other.

I am sure it has been thoroughly discussed, anything I should be looking out for? Any tricks with the car that you guys who own one have discovered?

Yes got it from Ali and sons. they had 2 white 2014 sitting in the ALAIN showroom. One sold 3 days ago and I took the last one. They have approximately 5 GT3s that they ordered that aren't spoken for yet all the rest already have deposits on from other customers. The ones that aren't spoken for are a Metallic white and a red that will arrive in November and one white one yellow and one grey or silver cant really remember will arrive in December.

did you get it with the lift ? cause I checked around a month ago and they were telling me that this shipment coming in December is not specced with this option

Hi Lebo, yes mine has the lift, plus the white one coming in mid November and the other white one coming in December both have the lift kits. Ask them to check properly. Atleast thats what the sales team in Alain told me. But both white cars arriving dont have the ceramic brakes. The one I got does.

sure but what I have is a 430 Scuderia, totally different beast than a regular F430.

They're very different cars. I had one, still have it actually, its for sale. I replaced it with a McLaren mp4-12c spider. I also have a few caymans, one extremely hacked up. Thats for another discussion, though.

The scud is fast, but the handling, brakes and transmission were underwhelming. The 991 GT3 with PDK-S is most certainly a much better car all around. The scud is based on the f430 which is still very dated, so even the ***** felt like they were from 2000. Don't get me wrong though, the motor was great! Once you drive a PDK, the scud transmission feels very slow and a bit annoying. Brake feel didn't give me much confidence, and the long wheel base made it feel like a large car. Overall not my cup of tea.
