My dealer called today and I must choose a stock color. Really struggling with that. He went on to tell me that no more production after December for GT3's. Said they were spooling up for another project, but couldn't confirm which car. He was guessing RS.

I'm beginning to doubt this "no more production after December" meme.
At first I was pretty sure the word on the street was true, but now I'm not so sure.
I think dealers are saying production will end December to move all of the GT3 allocations PAG is sending them.
Just a hunch but I think there's a pretty good chance we'll see some sort of 2016 GT3 with some minor cosmetic tweaks like a new steering wheel, rear brake lights (like the new 991.1) and maybe new wheel options.

Three Wheelin'
It may be a gimmick to sell more cars, but the notice of the end of production in Decembeer 2014 came to the dealers from Porsche in Germany. There was no reason to cancel so many PTS orders that could have been fulfilled in February if GT3 production were continuing into 2015.

What does "production ending in December" mean? My car is anticipated to arrive in January or February.

Meaning your car will be produced in the last month of production slated for the 2015 991 GT3. Your Production date will be in Dec - when you receive it will just be the logistical aspect

It means the car will exit production in Dec. it then will go to the shipping yard in Emden and wait for a ride across the pond. This could be up to 2 weeks unfortunately. Then it's generally 4-6 weeks from that point till it's at the dealer. These are really worst case but you can see if you car leaves Emden say Mid Dec how you are looking at Mid-late Jan. I have a Late Nov build and an eta of 1/23

^^ Thanks for the info. Will be interesting to see if production really does end that soon. Would be a bit odd for a MY15 car to hardly be produced in 2015.

I ordered white, but after seeing this pic, I'd go w/ this as a PTS replacement:

For the Macan as an example, it started production in Feb 2014 for all MY15 cars. So the MY15 will be Feb 2014 to June 2015 I assume.
