Are you joking being Amateur? I've done Ring a cpl of times and it needs ***** to go fast, and lots and lots of practice, meaning 100s of laps as it's just so long to remember how to take each corner, and what comes next after the next dip!
Very impressive driving indeed, although he rarely changed gear, specially upshift was always auto!

Car & driver are FAST!
1 bucket list item: go to the Ring & sit passenger with someone who knows what he/she is doing. Preferably in a GT3/RS.

Damn. One thing is certain.... He is not lacking in the "testicular fortitude department" .
Great driving. The car looks so composed during the laps. Can't wait to get mine!!!!!

That scared the ****e out of me.
There are so many sections at the Nring where you are flat out IF you are threading the right line, look especially after the bridge leading up to the carousel. Absolutely no run off anywhere and taking it up to the limit as he does makes even a slight off or one wheel off a moment of terror or disaster.
When he does go in too deep near the end of the first lap that seemed very close to a complete off... Also the passing in the beginning was very dicey although you can see they signaled, but close anyways. Clearly not an amateur and this was obviously a group renting the track, like a Porsche club of some kind.
My point- not an amateur and someone who was taking a lot of risks. I guess you could do that with a rental, but you probably are on the hook if you ball it up, that is if you survive with basic safety gear, like half cage and street clothes (maybe no HANS).
But I did watch the whole thing, the car is truly amazing.

This wouldn't be an unofficial and partial release of the follow-up to Sabine's RS vs 991 GT3 drag race would it? She did state that it was going to happen.
Nonetheless, amazing driving. Thanks for posting Macca.

This from a friend of the driver....
Macca. Here you can see the man in action..Btw he is even at the same level of experience with Porsche. His Gt2 has 600 hp and was a little slower than the new Gt3.To be sincere he told me that he wants to get 7:25 with the Speciale. And that soon we will see him playing at the ring with his LaFerrari.Nd he is not a pro believe me:-) Just a wealthy fanatic and talented Italian:-)
