FWIW - I am in the market, and have been offered 2 new ones at MSRP and 1 lightly used one at below MSRP. All were on the forum. Just trying to find the right one.
I think the seller gambled wrong, buying a car he didn't any longer want, thinking he could flip it.
He would have likely been better off to have the dealer keep the car instead, and sell to another one of their customers.
If the guy is willing to hold it until next Spring I bet you he could get $10,000 to $15,000 over. You just have to be willing to store it and wait for the market to go dry as long as the Title is not Branded.
But today - not going to happen
Highly doubtful. The 991 GT3 is a fantastic car but it's a fantastic appliance. Everyone that wants one has had ample opportunities to get one. I could pick up the phone and buy one to my specification from multiple dealers today. I don't think they will drop along the lines of the standard 991's but they also will not hold value like the 997's. The 997's have increased in value due to obvious reasons that will never apply to the 991.
The days of 20k over sticker for a pristine 991 GT3 won't be here for probably 20 years.
great now someone can buy mine for the same price except mine has 33k in options built in.
lol
Don't want to post on your FS thread to discourage potential buyers. (imagine that courtesy)
But your car is really nice. I can respect the OCD reasons for selling and wanting a different optioned car. But why not wait for an RS. Having owned standard and RS variants myself the RS is a better car!... And by rumors it seems the delta on the 991 RS vs Standard will be even greater on the 991 than previous variants...
