Default No Roof Bump If No Satellite Option?

I recall seeing this discussed in a very old thread, but couldn't quite remember the answer. Is it correct that the bump on the back of the roof is only there if you select one of the satellite options? Thx.!

Correct. No Sat Radio = No bump.

Is the bump considered bad? It's on my list as I love listening to satellite radio/xm.

CAlexio: I think there are some on this forum that consider the XM/Sirius roof bump to interrupt the smooth lines of the beautiful sloping roof. IMHO, not a biggie, but I opted to omit that option for a smooth roof and I'm turning more to GT3 engines, and Rdio music services for my listening pleasure.

Roof wart. Dash wart. Genital wart. Some like, some don't.
Mine will be wart-less.

That's what I was told. I therefore deleted the XM (I also can't stand their quality and customer service...actually dislike that more than the bump!)
Got HD radio, online services, pcm sat nav etc.
I now have no idea whether the bump will be there or not.

Are you in the USA? I don't believe we have hd radio. And what are online services?

Yup I'm the US... well in TN!
I think we do have HD radio. I pick up HD radio stations in my Audi Q5.

BTW, I know AHA radio has had mixed reviews. i love it. I get awesome quality and connection via my cellphone to stations all over the world. Most of all most UK (inc all BBC), Spain, and other European stations. If as I expect, online services will port everything and the interface through the PCM, I will be happy!

The only reason why I'm getting that pimple on the roof is because I need the traffic information. It's my understanding that the traffic information is only available with the Sirius service.

Just use WAZE on your phone... 10x better than anything out there.

It looks much worse in pictures than in real life. I omitted XM from my build but added it back after I saw the "wart" in real life. Yeah, it exists. Does it ruin the lines of the vehicle? No. The rest of the car is so cool that it doesn't matter. IMHO!

Sirius XM condyloma on the roof?
I may have to rapidly delete before it's too late. It's bad enough that the signal and audio quality suck.
Uglifying the car to get Sat Radio is not worth it.
