Some really sage advice here all round.

Ive owned both 996.1 GT3 and 991 GT3 and if I had to make a decision to have only one of thoose two cars it would be the 991 GT3. However thats easily said when I have a 993RS+ spec car already in the garage which provides all of the benefits of a 996 GT3 with the bonus design/sound of an aircooled!

On the 993TT sale vs 996 GT3 they are very different cars indeed. If you love "Driving" then the 996 GT3 is the one to keep. 993TT prices have gone a bit silly so I think its a sane move to capatalise on that.

Lets face it none of these cars are unobtainable - in a few years time when your home and investments have gone up in value and the old car bubble has burst you can buy back your 993TT/996GT3 if you really did miss it. Thats the way I would look at it...

Well my car 996-3 was dropped off at the dealer today. A bit if a sad day for me. It will be available for sale through New Country Porsche of Clifton Park, NY. 11,600 miles, GT3 buckets, TE Rollbar, Schroth 5 pt harnesses, RS Fly/Clutch, RS rear wing and Europipe 100 cell sport exhaust. It also has all the OEM stock parts. FYI

Any idea how much they'll be asking for it?

I don't. I can say that I paid msrp for my new one and they gave me $65k which was inline with blue book dealer trade in value for my low mile car. Gut wrenching turning her in. I am told that once I take delivery on the new car, I will forget about her.

Some rhodium shots. It looks pure silver inside the shop under fluorescent lights and has a lovely blue hue outside under cloudy conditions which was the case today. Here are some other Rhodium shots I found on the web.
