Lift kit, otherwise you will be kicking yourself in the *** w/o it.

I had the lift on my 7.2GT3 and loved it. The splitter was in great shape with the car lowered what I like to call "light track" specs. My 6.2GT3 was set up for 50/50 street track and I left the splitter on various freeways, hotel parking lots, and adjacent to speed bumps even with careful 45-degree, slow approaches over the humps and bumps. It never destroyed it but the clips are pricey and the thing was scuffed and the bumper cover holes were getting looser and poorer at retaining the clips, so I stopped using the splitter on the street. Highway driving and grip were affected. I could feel the lift without the diffuser/splitter.

Get the FA lift!

[QUOTE=911dev;11661805]For all who say a lift is necessary, there are an equal number whos opinion differs. Did not have one on my .2 3 and never needed it in three states; all with hilly terrain and speed bumps/humps.

Whether it's optioned or not you're gonna scrape the splitter. As Mike said, it's a matter of getting somewhere you otherwise could not; steep drives, difficult parking garages, etc.

I've mentioned this before, but new users keep coming up with lift questions so here it is again. Experience with the previous splitter may not necessarily be predictive with this car.

There are no clips or fasteners with the new splitter; it's a fairly ridged molded piece with a long slot that fits over a protruding lip on the front valance resulting in an essentially integrated piece. While the splitter itself is relatively inexpensive, if you whack it, the shock is transmitted right to the bumper, which is a very expensive piece.

I'm just saying.....caveat emptor.

Up here in NY it is needed mostly on driveway/parking lot aprons. Those are the spoiler eaters.

I have a 991 S with an aero kit currently and gentle inclines leaving parking lots and my garage scrape occasionally. The GT3 is even lower. My vote is get the lift.

Need the lift. Thought didn't need it initially but the car came with it and after a few hundred miles I am glad it had the lift.

My dealer just called and said that the factory emailed him and said that they could not do PTS until February allocations.

However, he was worried that they may not renege on that and not even do it.

I thought GT3 production was due to end soon?

I don't mind waiting an extra couple of months for the car and would prefer to have Mexico Blue over any other color. If I wait, what's the chance of me getting it?

Thanks.
