It should be the 991 RS by the time they film next year (cross fingers, or con rods, no more mayhem).

2014 Car & Driver - Lightning Lap: Done.
2014 Road & Track - PCOTY: Done.
2014 Motor Trend - COTY: Done.

I'm shocked. SHOCKED I tell you that the P1 & LaF are nowhere to be found. In any test, actually. How long ago did those two officially go on sale?

Maybe in 2015...when pigs fly.

I saw a GTR Nismo and a 911 Turbo S in the video also

Ah yeah, forgot about the result given how much exposure the C7 has received. I'm not a Vette guy despite appreciating the immense value for the money proposition, but there's been so much pride in America's darling sports car in 2014 that I can't remember where it hasn't come in on top. I even got lost looking at the accolades Chevy put on its website

- AUTOMOBILE Magazine named Stingray its 2014 Automobile of the Year.
- Car and Driver put Stingray on its annual "10Best” list.
- Road & Track magazine named Stingray its Performance Car of the Year.
- Yahoo! announced its top prize in October 2013, naming Stingray the 2014 Yahoo Autos Car of the Year.
- Autoweek magazine awarded Stingray its Best of the Best top new car honor.
- Popular Mechanics lauded Stingray for its performance prowess in the magazine’s 2014 Auto Excellence Awards.
- Esquire magazine called the Stingray reveal the Automotive Event of the Year.
- Kelley Blue Book gave Stingray two awards, putting it in the Best Resale Value: Top 10 and naming it Best Resale Value: High Performance Car.
- The Motor Press Guild named Stingray its inaugural Innovation Vehicle of the Year (over $29,000).
- The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) named the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray the Best New Sports/Performance Car.
- AutoGuide.com named Stingray the 2014 Reader’s Choice Car of the Year.
- The Detroit Free Press named the 2014 Corvette Stingray its Car of the Year.
- Bloomberg News also gave Stingray its 2014 Car of the Year title.

Their requirement is the car has to run on its own power. It cannot be pushed without an engine in it. It is unfortunate.

2:53.8? What track is this? Can't be Laguna. The motor trend best drivers article is out already? Heading to bookstore...

Geez....my bad. I just got the Car and Driver Lightening lap issue and confused it with the Motor Trend vid at the beginning of this thread. Duh...
FWIW the track C&D used was Virginia International Raceway which yielded the time above for the Vette.. Sorry for the confusion. Hope you haven't already left for the bookstore...

The new GT3 had barely any coverage in the US media. Almost everything is from the UK

Apparently Top Gear is pitting all three for the upcoming season, 918, F1, and LaFerrari!

Unfortunately...as far as media comparisions go, I think the ship has already sailed and GT3 was not ready in time for the trip. It's a shame because I would have like to have seen some lap times at a bunch of tracks by some great drivers out there in the comparision tests and really see how it fairs vs competition...now we will have to wait and see what all the magazines do with the GT3 RS when its available for them to test.
