Yeah, I'd keep the RWS too. Clever idea which seems to work, and it's not 'cheating' because rear wheel angle is apparently based on steering input and car speed, not adjusted dynamically to correct for driver errors like PSM -- correct?

It's like Groundhog Day over here, conversations from pre-release dates are happening again and again despite widespread agreement on moot points like RWS

I'm assuming theses seats are manual all the way around, specifically fore/aft?

Maybe clubsport package is next for guys who had their builds already, or for those that want a factory harness bar and 5 points?

I thought there was a restriction on bringing clubsport to the US?

BTW, go with a roll bar rather than harness bar, I've seen rolled 911s and the roll bar made a difference. Also, 6-pt is better than 5-pt.

I've been hoping for the bucket seats to become available for months while I read the threads here and agonize over my build. I finally got word last week on my build date (early October) and had accepted the standard seats. Called my dealer and he confirmed the November 2, 2014 date. $5400 option in Canada. He's looking into what he can do for me but I'm nervous about changing things.

club sport is the full roll bar with front section (cage) as well as the seats, FE and harness.
it is NOT available in USA, never has.
do not confused the so called club sport bucket seat with club sport option, which is not for USA consumption.

Food for thought for Cat "C" customers:

I got a follow up call last Friday afternoon from Andrew Pine before he boarded a flight east,
A good call and welcome , one of the points he assured me of, was if I had 18 way seat in my initial
build I will be refunded for them ( $2635).As well sport crono option price difference even though
it has added features. I think most C guys are probably September or early October builds , I am last
week of October and think I will leave as is . For one a fixed back seat renders the rear space pretty
much unusable . I plan for DD use as well as track. I will take the $2635 and order one seat
thru Tequipment if It becomes available . Porsche they just can't stop throwing curve ***** at us all be it this one a fun one to swing at

What a palaver!
All those jumping on the sports bucket seat bandwagon think again! My knee jerk reaction was to go for the seats. Got on the phone to the dealer and he applied the changes on his system. All crap broke loose on the dealer configurator! My build dates messed up and almost had my Sept 26 build slot totally screw up and go into next year! Have gone back to my original spec (18 way adaptives) to hopefully also roll back to my Sept build! I'll know in a day or so. Arghhhh!

The following are true and confirmed by my dealer.

I'm also taking the following info quite seriously as it would apply to me and my poor back! Thank you for the heads up carcommander.

Called my dealer and he also confirmed not available until Nov 2. My delivery date is Nov 7. Not gonna delay for them. Just bite the bullet and buy from techquipment or go aftermarket and give up the airbags.

My understanding is that only those with November builds and on will be able to get these seats.
