Didn't realize how many local SF guys we have here.. Anyone live in the hilly parts like me?.. Entrance to my garage on telegraph hill is still a huge question mark for me. Sometimes my BMW 535xi hits it's suspension stops on these streets.. I can't imagine how slow I'll have to drive in the gt3.. I'll be holding up traffic just crossing an intersection

The cars on the configurator now are 2015's and a backup camera isn't listed AFAIK. Of course, Porsche does do mid-year upgrades on occasion. Backup cameras are now required by 2018. Maybe the new turbo-hybrid GT3's will have them...

Good comments on using it as a DD. In trying to rationalize buying one, I'm contemplating using it as my combined DD and track car. That would definitely mean putting in a roll bar and harnesses. Which harness-compatible seats are you using?
I see that the lift raises the front 1.2", cost $3490, and works up to 30 mph. How much does the car scrape without the lift? That's one option I'm inclined to not bother with because (a) it's one more thing to go wrong, (b) the 30 mph limit means that activating the lift for every speed bump could be a hassle, (c) may increase replacement cost of the shocks when they wear out.
With the suspension set on the softer setting, how does the ride quality compare with say a 997 C2 or C2S in its softer setting, or a Cayman R (non-PASM shocks)?
Backup camera would be big plus, not just for parking, but also to avoid getting rear-ended on the road and to look for police cars (!).

I have spent a couple days now enjoying my new GT3 and it will not be an issue as a DD. I am very impressed by the suspension. Firm but compliant. Actually; they just nailed it. I love it that the only button I hit is the sport exhaust button and nothing else.
Now- I do disagree with a lot of people complaining the wing is an issue. For me I do not find it a problem at all. I can still see everything behind me and actually the wing prevents the lights from bothering me from any tailgaters. Plus - I love looking thru my review mirror and seeing the wing. Yes - you do not have perfect site but sufficient that I do not need a backup camera and am happy the way it is

^ But note that MaxLTV also has a roll bar, which makes rear visibility worse.
