As an English petrol head, who loves pretty much all cars, including the C6 Vette, I think the C7 looks very, well, Korean?? I'm sure it has amazing performance figures, but in real terms, what is it like on the road compared to any 991? Oh, and lets not forget residuals.

I test drove a C6 Z06 here in the UK and ended up buying a Mustang GT instead, purely because the Vette felt MASSIVE!!

I agree! It's not going to be 125K for sure!
Otherwise, where will they fit the ZR1...?

Agreed. GM is going to price very aggressively.

Do you know what the last Z06 cost? I doubt the price is going down.

Scratch the Z06 for a DD and a 74 RSR for vintage racing.

The new plan is a GT3 RS for a DD, and a Brabham B29 F2 car for vintage racing.

That feels better.

Isnt the CEO of GM Obama? I dont know how many times I went to the track in my 996 GT3 days and my 997 Gt3 days I dont ever remember seeing a Z06 driver that had more skill than the Porsche guys. usually some dude in a 993 RS look alike was always the fast guy out there. Skill and momentum. You guys will probably be much better drivers than the Vette guys. Porsche guys just seem to prepare better.
I wouldnt worry about it. The GT3 will be awesome. The Z06 will be a rattle trap in about 6 months.
AND EVEN If it is as good as the suits and GM say it is you still have GM mechanics working on them.
So enjoy your cars.

Another big reason for me not to consider the Z06. Unless you use a race shop, regular techs at the Chevy dealerships won't cut it.

we had a Toyota GM dealer in town and I had a 4 runner and I had to go in and have the Mr Goodwrench work on the Toyota and the service was appalling. I can imagine them working on a $100K car for m I just cant.

Pretty sure they don't let everybody work on the Vettes.

of course. they probably copied the Ferrari.

it still has no where near the elegance or presence of a Ferrari.

if you asked me it looks too cartoon-like, and the bodywork /aero looks way too "tacked on".
