I was s worried about the lift, it adds weight, but the nose is so low and long you need it.
My only regret satellite radio the antennae is like an ugly large piece of chocolate on the roof Damn you Howard Stern!

No regrets here either. Although I have changed my configuration several times!

The more photos I see of the various colors and options, the more certain I am I made the correct choices for me.

Now it's just more waiting. . .
and waiting. . .
and waiting. . .

Sometimes I wish I would have added the: "extended leather dash", leather seat backs, PCCB's, full carbon interior, red gauges, bucket seats(which look cool but in which I can't sit because of my wide back) and PTS color.

But that's only once in a while I see some nice comments about these items on the internet forums.
I am actually quite happy with my spec! It's a great car and there are so many options to choose from but I think I've almost ticked all boxes except the ones mentioned above.

But really, PTS would have been nice... Only I initially expected my car in september '13 so there was NO CHANCE that was even slightly possible.

If you ticked what you wanted; you will be happy. All of these ornaments you can order is very subjective and will not matter when it comes time to trade in or sell.

I got it bc I liked the look of it for $400. Simple as that.
Fair enough, and dammit if you like it don't let anyone tell you differrent. Some folks might come out and cry that it's "The Dash-Wart". And you know peer pressure can be a bitch. But at the end of the day no one else beyond yourself will ne making the payments.

In the 997GT3/GT2 forum would automatically call that option The Dash Wart since it didn't help the Porsche much specifically to the Track Day drivers. Many of the old GT3 cars that made it to the lots, talking about 997 models. A great chunk of the GT3RS cars were pre-configured and gifted upon the dealerships they ended up at. And for some reason who evet was responsible for configuring the gifted cars just loved that little time piece. The realtrack cars are those that have no radio, carpet - has a full blown roll cage.and perhaps a five lug conversion instead of having the silly center lock, in case you would have to keep all the special tools in the car to replace a wheel just because of a non-conventional center nut.

On a side note some tow truck companies are buying the super short car jacks because of how low these cars are now and the extremely low profile wheels on 20 inch, 21 inch and 22 inch.... where is Susuan Powter around to yell "STOP THE INSANITY"!

/end babbling

I was a first time new Porsche buyer. I guess I just got lucky. There are no real regrets or anything I would change. If I was really picky I would have added bluetooth but I have a stand alone Sony/Ericsson unit I really like so I just use that.

There is a video made by Porsche where Walter Rohl drives two exact GT3s around the ring, except one of them has front lift. Can't remember if they were both 997.1 or 997.2 GT3s. Both cars with Walter driving crossed the line in the exact same time.!
