True. But on a lease only for the period of the lease. I was planning on keepin the GT3 for a while then selling it. Then the next schmuck has to pay the state again! What a scam. Back to leasing new

regardless new, used, in or out of state, you pay the tax. norcal we are just shy of 10%. to have a fair comparison, you either calc lease for both cars or financing for both cars.

that said, if you plan to keep the car short term, then your total loss will be smaller if you leased.

good luck with your choice. either car will be great.

It's only money and you will pay as you go with a lease, or pay up front to say you own it. Good luck with your choice. Use to live in Cali it's always been that way as far as I can remember. Those dreadful annual dmv fees that's the scam. Should cost you 1500 bucks each year to get that little sticker.

You are correct and now I'm rethinking the whole deal. If I lease a 991 and over the two years plus the deposit, I'm in $32,000 After the term i have nothing but the option to buy it at about $74,000. If i just buy the GT3 at least i have SOME equity in it. Just (gulp) pay the man (DMV) his vig and move on

It drops pretty fast each year. My $105,000 GTS went down to $648 the second year.
