Engine Swap Dates

Last four digits of VIN and ROW vs USA (as the VIN ranges are different - USA ones start with a 3).
Delivery date has too many factors outside PAgs control to me. Like transit time (6+ weeks to some markets), boarder compliance etc.
If I were keeping it simple I would use VIN.

Ivan. 3251 is a relatively early USA VIN and corresponds to roughly a week 49 build. If I were to take a stab in the dark I would say you will be in the first or second wave of replacement engines produced. I am week 47 (production finish 27 Nov 2013) but my VIN is ROW VIN - we have a totally different VIN sequence for non USA built cars (historic and goes back to the 80s). My VIN is early 500s. My car was built before yours. What teh factory will do is make ranges. So they probably made around 200 ROW cars then 200 USA etc each using a range in their own sequence. Thus we need the fours digit we cant just tell from the last three at this time....

My dealer's "Build Sheet" is dated 9/30/2013.
VIN is 3144.
Would be interesting to have VINs from the following RL posters, whose delivery dates
were all in December, 2013, to get an idea of who we may expect
information from first w/respect to engine replacement ...
Bluehinder
FLM911 (has initiated/completed "buyback")

note verbatim what I posted on 4/10/2014 after speaking with PCNA:
>>>As per communication with PCNA today, the engine replacements in the USA
"will be done in the order the original GT3 orders came through to PCNA for the vehicle",
i.e. not necessarily delivery date. No engine replacement date can yet be determined.<<<
VIN is 3144.

So they produce cars on the same line with non sequential numbers. We assume USA starts with 183000 and ROW with 180000. It makes it hard to tell how many cars produced in total. We have seen ROW run up around 1400 (we have evidence of ROW chassis 1302 off the line 07 Feb 2014) and USA run beyond 183669 (that car was due to be produced May but never progressed beyond V160 and we have a 183562 which stopped updating from 14 Feb 2013).
So its very difficult to understand between ROW and USA/CN etc how the sequence works. We have to assume there are blocked gaps in the sequence for each VIN type.
I just had a thought. Maybe its based on "Commission number"? When you received your letter did you have a "commission number on the letter" All my communications from factory including my build sheet were always headed up with my commission number. Maybe we can use those to determine order in the que?

Below please find posts from Arth and TomTom77. They posted in a new thread, but I figured it might be good to consolidate the info:

Well here goes!
i just got confirmation form my dealer on engine production, shipping and when the car will back with me.
these dates as specified by the dealer are "worst case scenario", so the car could actually be back with me on the road earlier.
Engine production week 21 ( 18th- 25th of May) - confirmed, but production would most probable take less than a week
Engine delivery/shipping 1 week after production finishes - shipping could take less
Engine delivery to service centre and fitment/testing 4 to 5 days. - could take 2 to 3 days
Worst case delivery date: 8th of June
Best case delivery: 2nd of June
I am the 4th car in the UAE to get his engine replaced.
out of the three cars before me, two are buybacks for the dealer ( will go into their inventory) and one is for the one person that beat me to the deposit down in March 2013.
All compensation (payments and warranties/documents) will be signed and handed over before the delivery date.

Here's number 2 from the UAE.
My VIN (0119) is 2 digits higher than Arth, yet my timeline is two weeks later. Whether that has to do with my slightly delayed delivery (because they screwed up the PDI planning) or not, who knows.
The timeline I was given:
- engine production: week 23
- engine shipping: week 24
- engine fixing: week 25 (w/c 16 June)
If this holds true, my compensation is as follows:
- Panamera S loaner since stop-drive
- 12,000 USD compensation for ~120 days (24 February to 24 June), or ~100 USD per day
- 2 years additional warranty (which they still need to give to Arth too, we're working on that)

Heard nothing as of yesterday.
Got rear ended yesterday while at a traffic light. Back hurts, but ok. Only, my brand new loaner w/ will need a new bumper and now need a loaner for my loaner? (Why don't people stinking pay attention? Just don't get it). Felt like a complete tool calling the dealer.
