Rallyeporsch, Did you ask Porsche to buy back your car. Why did you get the letter? What did the Buy Back $$$ cover. I am starting the process and would really appreciate any info you can share. Thanks, Allan

I spoke with Andrea too, she's really nice. I'm not sure she can't do much, I feel like she's really just there to pick up the phone and listen to us vent.

As opposed to what, her being a decision maker?

Allans: The buyback supposedly covered all costs to purchase including taxes. I did not request a buyback.

I was thinking a facilitator. I know no one is even close to talking to a decision maker.

I spoke yesterday to the concierge. I was offered the following: $2k per month or set of tires and 3 years of free maintenance. I told him i was not happy with either and he should go back to management and let them know. He confirmed to me that there where many fellow owners with the same position as me.
I am German in Canada and my fellow German 991 GT3 owners get $265 CAN per day Nutzungsausfallentschaedigung (compensation for non use). I want this too and the amount seems to be fair. In Germany they used the compensation matrix of the car insurance companies for non use of the car because of accidents etc. to determine the hight of compensation. Therefore Porsche had to pay the same.

What is even more worse is that we still do not have a time when we can expect the car back! End May/June.

The discrepancy between what PAG is offering to some customers located in certain countries / regions is astounding. Do they think that 785 owners in a niche circle do not / will not communicate?

Speaking of communication (again), what is the difficulty in simply communicating an engine replacement schedule to us, "us" being the "affected?"

The other issue I have is them offering 12k to someone who has a 140k car is WAY different that them offering that same 12k to someone with a 160k car...and NEITHER is fair IMHO!

Agreed. But, in the grand scheme of things, that's ~15% difference in MSRP--even if that should ideally translate to a ~15% difference in comp from one owner to the other, it's nothing compared to the 3-4x difference from a US owner to certain EU owners ($66 per day versus €175 per day, which is about $242 per day). Or, at least the $4k / month rate of some Middle East owners versus the $2k / month rate of US owners.

Since we know that a perfectly ideal formula will not be explored or employed by PAG, the big focus should be on the bigger discrepancies, IMO. To be off by percentages is one thing (and I do agree with you!), but to be off by multiples?!?! That's ridiculous.

Definitely agree with you there. Though it adds another 5k to that number...which is nearly half of what their offer is...so even that percentage is pretty sizable. And damn right where is that 200 plus bucks a day???

Agreed.

I'm just viewing it like we will not be 100% happy. But, if fighting the bigger battles can lead to being 80% happy...I'll take it at this point.

As a FYI, if you had a 2014 production car that was moved to a 2015 PNA confirmed you get zero as you have a new car with no taint.

Clocked- Even if it was moved say 4-6 months out? What happened it you did a trade-in and your tax credit would expire.- You do not think they would cover this?

Guys you are onto it here. We have both the UAE offer and the German offer hard documented through our membership on our Action Group and we have adjusted our compensation matrix accordingly. PAG need to treat all regions with equality - this is the key issue!
