Default Clearplex windshield protector

I did a similar test as seen in youtube link below while I was a Tracklogic last weekend. This material is unbelievable. Will install after delivery. They quoted $399. Anyone paid less? I want to put it on my .2 as well.

Any race shop will do it, or will have someone come out.
Champion, foreign affairs, FVD, orbit etc.

It's a DIY easy job.

I've used these guys in the past for Clearplex and clear bra the entire car.

Tracklogic said they have a guy come out. They had all kind of GT3 cars there including a race version 458 so I am sure they can do a 991 as well. Its a simple process. Like Pete said I am sure the guys who install clear bra can do this as well. Not planing on tracking the 991 for a while but will still install. My TT had a windshield replaced and after that I always heard wind noise. After many trip to the dealer it was never fixed. Once the windshield is replaced its never the same. $200 cheap insurance.

Bump. Also, any weird reflections or diffraction of light especially at night?

How does it do long term with windshield wipers? Not an issue for race cars or fair weather toys but might be with a DD.

Is there actually a kit for the 991 or are your installers adapting from another kit?

If you get the protector and later get small indentions in the windshield the only way to remove the blemishes is to peel away the Clearplex? Do you reapply the protector?
