It's up to you. The clear bra is simply an insurance policy against rock chips, scratches, etc. CQuartz is more of a protective layer that keeps the car looking amazing and helps with cleaning over time.

What's your objective?

If you want to keep it simple and protect against the elements, CQuartz alone will be fine.

If you cannot stand the sight of rock chips, you need clear bra.

Moe,
Could you please PM me a quote for wrap without extensive part removal? No window tint is desired. Car is sapphire blue metallic and used exclusively on track.

Thanks!

Thomas

I know some of you are taking delivery in the next few weeks/months and I figured I'd answer some of your questions you've been pming me about:

1. What film did we use on the GT3 full wrap.....SUNTEK TOPCOATED

2. How much time does it take....About 5-6 days...our pre-prep of machine polishing and perfecting the paint prior to install, 1-2 days - dis-assembly and cataloging parts removed - 1 day, clear film installation - 1 day, re-assembly of parts and pre-prep for nano coating - 1 day, nano coat and final inspection - 1 day...for us to insure everything look OEM and there are no spare parts, we like to take our time as this enhancement is done once and it needs to be perfect!

3. Can I ship my GT3 direct to you....YES. We have our own transporter company we use, or you can directly send your car to use from dealer and we can arrange for delivery to your home anywhere in the world

4. Why do you apply a nano coating over the clear bra...This coating further protects the topcoat of the film and bonds with the material. The results are less dirt attraction, improved scratch resistance, and an amazing amount of gloss and depth, almost like actual paint. Coating lasts 18-36 months depending on care

5. Will my car look exactly like the GT3 writeup you did....ABSOLUTELY...we pride ourselves on an OCD level of workmanship and that means we have a "system" that I've developed and constantly perfect to assure it's a job that would be done at the Porsche factory

6. How do I send you my car....please PM me you full contact info, or just call us. Once scope of work is finalized, we take deposit, and book you on our calendar. I strongly encourage to pre-plan and give us at least 4-6 weeks notice. If you'd like something done sooner, please call direct and we can check our availability

7. What's your warranty...our workmanship comes with a LIFETIME warranty. The material, if cared for properly, 5-10 years depending on if we use XPEL Ultimate or Suntek Topcoated

8. Can you "undo" this installation down the road...YES. There may a time where you get in an accident, door ding where the film is punctured, but your paint is safe, etc. We can safely remove the film and/or install a new piece

Hope these commonly asked questions help you guys.

Almost forgot...

9. How much $$$.... Please PM. It's not cheap, but I promise the level of workmanship, the manner things are done behind the scenes, and the skill required to do this enhancement, will be worth the peace of mind and VALUE. You will only do this once in the car's lifetime. We're very well-known in the Porsche community and are specialists in Porsches for almost 20 years. The paint is frozen in time underneath the clear film. This means it will actually look "better-than-new". We remove all factory defects and apply the film over the cleanest and most pristine paint you can imagine. When it comes time for resale, our cars always bring in top $$ because of the workmanship of the installation, and the day someone removed the film, they're unveiling paint that can potentially be 5-10 years old, yet look perfect.
Moe, I am getting my 15 GT3 Guards Red possibly today. I am interested in a total cover like you mentioned in this blog. Can you PM me an estimate on cost on the entire exterior and anything you'd suggest that ZI'm possibly not aware of? Thank You.

Great Work-good investment imo

Default Follow up visit

Just got my car home from Moe's for it's follow up visit. Gotta say, the car looks AMAZING, the paint almost 3 dimensional.....Clear wrap (X-pel) is perfect!

If you're on the fence, I can't recommend GP enough!!!

Curious -- how are his PCCB's holding up with intensive track usage?

Client stopped by for semi-annual touch up...all this GT3 needed was a Phase 2 - Nano treatment and it looked as good as new. As you can see, this GT3 is getting plenty of track time

Thanks for the info MOE. We had talked but I had my wrap done up north. I selected to do full paint correction, wrap the front and the rear quater panel. My budget would not allow a full wrap so doing the QP allos for me to get the rest done latter. Then Cquats seemed like a better choise now than waxing for me. Washing now is a breeze and needed much less than before on other cars.

hi Moe, I have a few questions:

1. you guys install Huper Optik tint? is there any haziness or blue/green hue to that tint? i been unhappy with the LLumar and 3M tints i tried -- so much haziness and blue hue when sun is shining at a certain angle.

2. aside from headlights, crest, side markers - what else would get remove in this "minimal" installation package? can you talk more about the difference in quality of work when you can remove front/rear bumpers vs. when you can't? will wrap lines be visible?

i am thinking of doing just front bumper, front hood, front fenders, roof and A-pillars all the way around the rear quarter panel and under the door... i am thinking that will mean no visible wrap lines...

i saw also on some pictures you guys replace weather stripping on a GT3 - where on the car is it replaced?
