Chamonix is not too far of a drive into France and is a lovely village. You can do a guided tour down Mont Blanc, but I hear this is quite advanced terrain--a friend of mine (lives in Geneva) did this a couple years back and said it was just unbelievable. If you're willing to travel further, of course there is no end to great Swiss skiing. Sounds like a wonderful vacation!

I would recommend getting a driver to take you from there to Chamonix - I think it's about an hour. You should stay right in the village. Great atmosphere and Apres Ski. The skiing is great, especially if you have the energy to get up early and take the gondolas then hike up the glacier. I try and get to Chamonix every few years when on business in Geneva. Fantastic experience.

I would go to the Eifel mountains

And if I could not go there: Chamonix would be a good alternative. Amazing place.

If you want to stay in Switzerland, cran sur Sierre is a beautiful village and pretty good skiing! Take one of most beautiful train journeys in the world. 2 hours from Geneva to Sierre.
Zermat is also beautiful. No cars allowed. Me and my family spent Christmas in Lenzerheide a month ago. So much to choose from! Enjoy.

Chamonix is the best place - an hour drive from Motor Show. I'm there now, and snow is perfect!

There are a few areas you can ski depending on what you are looking for, and the weather. Before I rented a place here, I stayed at the Hotel Mont Blanc a few times - nice place with pool etc in the heart of Chmonix and they will run you around to ski areas in private shuttle.

PS - I'm going to Geneva to see RS, just sorting out dealer invite for press day hopefully

Great suggestions! Zermat is completely picturesque, and the Matterhorn is a must see. We went this spring as part of our ED and the hiking in warmer weather is excellent too. If you go to Lenzerheide to ski, consider the Guarda Val hotel for a wonderfully luxurious stay in a rustic postcard-perfect lodge.

You can't go wrong with Zermatt. I've been there in the summer and winter. Both were fun.

Since no one mentioned Verbier, I'll put a vote in as that's being my favorite ski area in Europe. I speak from some experience having grown up in race schools skiing both summers (glaciers like Cervinia-Zermatt) and winters everywhere from Italy to Switz, France and Austria.

IMO verbier offers a very picturesque village with tons to do, as well as huge array of slopes, usually with good snow comparable to the best Utah has to offer.

I hugely recommend Zermatt. It's the most incredible place to ski. No ICE cars allowed on the mountain, therefore they are all electric and super clean air. Super relaxing and best place to ski in my opinion.
Oh great food as well

If you are a fan of off-piste then Verbier is the best, but for on piste and best place, Zermatt still kicks *** for me.

Zermatt gets my vote. My favourite place to ski. Lovely town as well. Verbier and chamonix have great skiing, but IMO the villages are nowhere near as nice.
