If they delay it much further they will have to redesign it for any 992 styling changes

I read the 6RS was launched around the same time as the 997 Carrera came out?

Is anyone that is looking at this car going to be thoroughly unimpressed if the car is stuck with the 3.8l motor which is likely merely a tuned (or even the same) as the Gt3 motor? And is merely some expensive aero bits worth 3 seconds on the Ring for 75k? Come on Porsche you gotta do better. At least beat the new Z06 on track.

Wouldn't LA make sense for the RS and Geneva for the 992? Geneva is certainly a bigger show, and as much as we love cars like the RS, a facelift 911 potentially with turbos is much bigger automotive news... They would also allow them to sell all the GT3s, RSs, etc before the 992 debut...

To me it's more important to get the RS feel! 100% driver involvement, less weight, sound, not only from engine. thin carpets, hearing every pebble, improved steering from 1gt3 etc, etc.

To me it just feels like we are going the wrong way, there is plenty of great porsches for weekend drives. the 991s and turbo are great for canyon drives and taking us to work. But driven to the track and at your own limit for a weekend is why I started to love these cars.

The 996GT3RS was launched September 2003 with deliveries from October, the 997 was launched in June 2004 with deliveries from September.

One problem facing Porsche if they choose to launch the new RS in LA is whether they use an ROW or US spec car. An ROW showing in LA will show a car that those very customers can't quite get (thinner glass, plastic rear window, battery cutout, cage etc), a US car will confuse everyone else.

the .2 rs at the la auto show was a euro car too.

I sat in it and created my spec to order my car.

I just wish we knew what was up.

Dealers know nothing
