Default GMG Racing Porsche 991 GT3 Bolt-In Roll Bar NOW AVAILABLE!!!

GMG is proud to introduce our aftermarket bolt-in roll bar for the new Porsche 2014+ 991 GT3 models. Utilizing the finest materials and unparalleled craftsmanship, we have developed a bolt-in rollbar that is strong and versatile for both street and track use.

Like all of our roll bar models, the GMG 991 GT3 bolt-in roll bar features US Made 4130 Chrome-Moly Tubing that has been TIG welded and normalized for superior strength and rigidity. To accommodate taller drivers, the GMG 991 bolt-in rollbar also allows the seats to full slide back and offer more leg room.

For spirited driving and weekend track events, this bolt-in rollbar is definitely a good investment for increased safety without sacrificing versatility.

Key Features

- Made of 4130 chrome-moly

- Meticulously TIG welded and normalized at all joints

- Mounts to front seat belt mounts and rear strut towers

- Can be used with stock seatbelts or 6 point harnesses for track use

- Designed to work with stock seats or any aftermarket seats on the market.

- Offers the driver and passenger full movement of the seat for maximum leg room

- Designed to work with clip in kit for harness (no need to drill holes in your floor to mount the harness anchors)

- Bar comes complete all hardware needed to install

- Finished in satin black powder coat - optional colors available

- Made to order with individually serialized laser etched plaques

- Professional installation is recommended and available at our facility

We are currently taking orders and international shipping is available

Good work guys. Just waiting on the cage to appear. By the picture it looks like it's bolted to the rear strut tower and seat belt floor bracket. Does this system increase chassis rigidity at all?

Does a cage like this have any benefit other than providing a place to mount a harness?

Those 991 owners using harnesses; what seats are you using? I know some guys are fitting the sport buckets. Anyone else?

I have a Recaro that I’m going to swap in for track days (or more likely just leave in all summer), but I’d rather have sport buckets and be done with it. Will depend on cost.

Improvements in chassis rigidity are pretty minimal unlike some of the older 911s since these newer cars are very stiff and well-built from the factory. Aside from being able to mount harnesses, a big benefit of installing these bars is increased protective in case of a rollover

where would the shoulder straps be wrapped on this bar? The 2 crossbars look pretty low and far back. or maybe the 2d perspective is confusing me.

The shoulder straps mount to the horizontal cross bars.

The picture does not show the installed angle of the roll bar. So you are correct to say that the angle does not look correct.

When installed the harness shoulder strap are at proper safe height.

You can use either a clip in kit (which we recommend) or a wrap around harness.

If you have more questions please feel free to shoot me a email directly.

Thanks, looking more closely think I see holes in the 2 crossbars - for eyebolts and clip ins.

I'm on the wait list but thinking ahead to options for rollbar/ seats. looks like a nice setup. Will be interested to see installed pics when available.
