I think this is the most gorgeous car today together with certain Astons.

The GT3RS must look like a wet dream...

Have to agree..

Proportionately looks as good if not better, and reminiscent, of the best looking 911 IMO the .1 RS in white.

To my eye, in part due to the extended wheelbase that visually looks short on all the 997.2s

May have to get white or gt silver?

disagree - looks too fat, whereas your 7.2 looks perfect!
trim and taut.
new car looks like liberace past his prime.

The looks are growing on me. I'd have to sell the GTS and sell one of my rental properties to get this. I have a feeling that this might be very easiest to drive GT3 on the street too which is what kept me from considering a GT3 in the first place as most use will be doing daily errands and maybe 3 to 4 track weekends a year unless I join the local racetrack country club. Maybe I should put my name on a waiting list for the RS. I'm sure allocations for the GT3 are filled up already. I can live with my GTS for a long time if I can't get on the list or wait several more years for the .2 version. I'm still learning how to properly drive the 911 platform.

I think there's little question that this will be a kinder, gentler daily drive given the automatic and Panamera interior. It's early in the game and you'll have no trouble finding an allocation if you want one. Not saying this to be flip. When I decided to pick up an RS it was much later in the cycle and I chased down three without a lot of effort.

FWIW, my dealer just called to say that his two pre-orders cancelled.

Thanks for posting this thread Nick!

I did have the opportunity to swing by Geneva on a ski trip in March, and was able to look at the car. I think it is sex on wheels. I'm debating trying to get on the list, or put down a deposit for an RS instead...

I am not even close to "mastering" the no-nannies 6.2 GT3 on the track, and really enjoy the subtle changes to try and go fast... The biggest "subtle" change of course is between the ears...

The 991GT# & RS would be like bringing an Uzi to a gunfight. For me, it is pure eye candy. I can't just can't wait to drive it!

grab a beer.
pull up a chair.
sit in your garage.
and take a long, hard look at the subtle curves of the front and rear fenders on your 6 3.
they are gone on the new models.
gone.

just got them 2 weeks ago, and i see great now!

new models, i'm talking about 991, new mid-eng models too.
they are way too fat. big bumpers, lumpy fenders, bottom-heavy.
i may be blind, but can see very well when it comes to forms.
