Track Safety Package Installation

Barney is in the house. We just took delivery of another Ultra Violet Porsche 991 GT3 RS from ESCC Motorsports to get our BBi StreetCup Safety package. To make her suitable for track duties, we installed our BBi Street Cup Roll Bar, Sub-Strap Mounts, and Schroth Racing harnesses for the driver and passenger to be properly secured and provide additional protection. Here are some beauty shots of the car that were taken immediately after it arrived and please stay tuned for updates!!!

• 1.625" x 0.095" 4130 chrome moly steel tubing utilized for excellent strength to weight ratio

BBi Porsche 991 GT3/ GT3RS / Cayman GT4 Sub-Strap Mount


If you have the optional Sport Bucket seats and planning to install 6-point race harnesses, then you will need this bracket. Shown here as a pre-production example, this bracket bolts directly to the seat and keeps the harnesses at the proper 10-20° angle regardless of the seat position.





Schroth Racing Profi-II HANS Harness, Porsche GT3 Specific



Porsche GT3 Cup Cars come with Schroth belts direct from the factory. They are specific because of the lap belt attachment. They have a sewn-in bracket that fits perfectly on the factory mount. Standard belts require additional fabrication and a spacer to make them work. These are a bolt-in replacement which is much easier. The sub-straps have no adjusters to fit correctly in the vehicle, and the shoulder belts are shorter to reach the works cages with minimal excess.

• Shoulder: HANS Specific 2" tapered to 3" Shoulders
• Lap: Sewn-in B43A (GT3 Specific Hardware)
• Sub belts: LV11 with B14 Snap-in Bracket Wrapped-in
• Include hardware: 1 SG23 7/16" Eyebolt, 1 S3 Wavy Washer
• Available with Pull-Down lap belts only

Curious as to why you put the standard belt through the 6 pt. harness opening? I'm sure the owner was okay with it. Just never seen this done before.
