Hmmmmmmm

I have a 15 991TTS coupe that I built. Black/black and lots of carbon, yellow gauges, belts, etc.

I think the 4.0 is a very very special car.

While I love the R I think the prices are inflated by the 918VIP program.

Tough decision...almost bought my pals PTS R.

525 is my max offer and they haven't agreed to it yet...will know today and will update community later,

Sure man, but talking about 525K, should consider carefully, this price can get you a deliver mile black R and single mass flywheel etc (Yea, that's mine for sale)

No more second gen R in next 50 years maybe?

4.0 RS will hold value and appreciate.

The 911R will drop in price before having any chance of going back up. The 4.0 manual 991.2 GT3 won't be good for R values. They all just had their stomachs drop with yesterday's GT3 news. I think you'll see $100-150K over MSRP prices first before they ever start going up again. They won't be at current levels for another 20 years.

Or if you want latest and greatest, get the .2 GT3 in a manual for around $200K loaded.

This right here. The 997 4.0 was the last (and largest) itieration of the famed Mezger block, able to trace its DNA all the way back to the 1964 2.0L block in the 901. The R is cool, but with the .2 GT3 being unveiled, it's will be viewed by some in the market as a "wing delete" model with cool badging/stripes.
