GT3 Dealer Allocation Thread

There are no confirmed allocations for NA. Those that claim they have one should reconsider what they have. If your told by a dealer you have an allocation all it means is WHEN they get their confirmed allocations you will be considered.Beyond that your a dreamer.

Yeah. My dealer called yesterday. I think they're dusting off their lists to see where their top customers are post announcement.

As for those with "confirmed" allocations, the dealer is simply predicting their first round allocation number, and based on your rank on the waiting list, they are making an educated guess that they can get you a car in the first round.

Agree on no allocations so far in US. My local stealership called yesterday claiming they had a few, but with no dates. No price other than it will be market. I think they are feeling out the market to see how high they can commit buyers early. I'm not even on the list for this dealer, so bizarre.

i called the day after the announcement and put my name on a list with a $5k deposit.
i'm #4 and the dealer confirmed it will be sold at MSRP but i'm not super confident about #4 bc they only got 3 allocations in total from 2014-2016 for the 991.1 GT3, so we'll see

Again : FORGET WHAT THEY TELL YOU!
If I were the GM of a Porsche dealership and one of my SAs told a potential customer, which I'm trying to make pay through his teeth, that they'll be cars available at MSRP and he should wait,I'd fire that SA in 2 seconds! It's all about money, they don't care about you. Some say they have a good relationship with their SA...they take them to lunch and such... I have no doubt. Respect and friendship go a long way. But they have no power to really help you. Plus they really don't know for sure what is going to happen : when it comes to the number of allocations and when it comes to the lists.
I'll give you an example : I was nr 7 or so for GT4. At first he said : not likely that you'll make it. I said " don't worry ". They've gotten 15 in that first round and when I went to pick up my car they had gotten another 15-20. Even he was surprised!
Relax...

Seriously though.. I think neanicu is absolutely correct. Patience will pay dividends.. If they truly to make as many or more as the 991.1 GT3(6000+).. there will be plenty to go around.
I know it's hard to fathom particularly in the US, but if the majority of clients refuse to pay the markup, the dealerships can't and likely won't charge it.
Ignore the thirst to be the first, when forced to pay +msrp..
(still shocked at the overall acceptance of this practice in the US)
Wishing everyone a shot @ MSRP!!!!!
