The official press release 0-60mph time for the 2014 991.1 GT3 was 3.3 seconds. Sure, car mags can get faster times, but if we compare Porsche press release 0-60mph times, this is all consistent.....the 991.2 GT3 is 0.1 seconds faster to 60mph than the 991.1 GT3.

Around the Ring? Id say almost certainly it will be 7.20 with PDK (i.e. equal to the outgoing RS). It has slightly more aero it would seem than the 991.1 GT3 and the bigger displacement engine with more toque - one assumes the lower drag will help with the Ring time and offset the wider track and tyre package of the RS. Id say they will be very similar in terms of performance on the track (PDK).

Best news is I can move my Dundon headers from the old 991.1 GT3 to the new car (or believe so).

Hmm, I guess I remembered wrong. I thought I saw 3.1 sec to 60 mph on a previous Porsche website listing, but it must have been a magazine instead.

Journalist: so where's the single mass flywheel?
AP: due to the overwhelming popularity of the 911R, we could not keep up with the demand for the single mass flywheel....but the GT4 6-speed is a fantastic unit that has wonderful character and we believe work very well in the new GT3

Dumb question but if I want a late-run (2019) allocation car - should I be working with dealers now? Just reached out to my local dealer but suspect a bunch of humans are doing the same. Haven't heard back yet...

Should've been working with them two years ago. Unless you're willing to pay to play.
