Agree. Anyone can say "wait for the next bubble to pop" and eventually be right, and have life experiences pass them by as they wait. I'll drive my 997-4.0 and not give two ****s if it's worth 100k or 1,000k because I'm not selling it either way; it's a dead man's car.

My Friend is a VP in NYC at one of the largest brokerage firm. In one of his Client's "Will" he is to be buried in one of his specific cars- no joke. I can not say the car because some one will be able to figure it out. He is in charge of carrying out all his wishes

Wow, that's hard core. No plans to be buried in it but I'll drive it until I can't and then I'll just go out in the garage and stare at it occasionally to remember driving it. I'll stop short of making a casket out of it

Hi mate. Its a dilemma alright. Ive had time in both. The USA dont get spoort buckets folding in the new cars, but they did in the older ones and call them GT2 buckets.

Im just over 6'1". Longer leg than torso relatively.

The folding buckets are more laid back, a little wider in the shoulder but narrower in the hip. I have them in my 991.1 GT3 and 981 GT4. They are very valuable for allowing access to the rear of the car. You sink into them a bit so I dont find them to high at all.They also seem to wear better than the fixed back buckets on the edge and side of teh seat. I think they are better made personally. Lastly the have a shorter seat base and teh sides are curved at the squab whereas the fixed buckets have pointy out bits that extend longer than the base squab if you know what I mean.

The fix bucket seats are more upright. I dont mind that on the road at all. However at the track it means anyone over 5'11' will likely find their head pushed forward and their chin down a bit as the helmet adds thickness.

The electric height adjustment of the fixed back seats seems mots useful for those who are vertically challenged, I saw no benefit when using them myself.

I'm assuming most people get the upgraded leather , including the leather dash? Ive always heard not to get the standard dash as it doesn't look appropriate on a car in this price range

Leather looks more expensive in a car you spent 6 figures on. Of course it's just glued on so not an important fabric of the car. There is an unsubstantiated rumour leather weighs less. That seems very unlikely but it won't be much either way regardless. AP had no leather in his launch 911R claiming it was simpler (no AC, stereo also) so you could argue it that way and go without.

I answered my own question. Yes, for those choosing the manual transmission it will definitely have the auto blip feature. See last paragraph of this page from the new brochure.
