997 LWBs in the 991....need help
Ok gents, I bought a set from a member whose dealer installed them for him. Included was the additional occupancy sensor for the passenger side.
I sent my car, seats and sensor to the nearest dealer, 300 miles away, and after a few months, they are now telling me they don't want to install them.
Does anyone know the correct procedure for getting this done such that there is no airbag light on? I don't really care if the airbags in the seats work.

The airbag light can be cleared with a scan tool regardless of how the seats are installed. That's how you clear it for cars with aftermarket seats that lack any hook-ups.

Do a search, there are a couple of people that successfully installed GT2 seats in US spec 991 GT3's.

I had 997 GT2 seats in my 991 GT3. You need a PIWIS with latest updates. The occupancy and seat position sensors need to be removed from the computer as the 997 sensors aren't compatible with the 991 software. Once they are removed there is no guarantee the passenger airbags will deploy safely (or at all) but it does remove the airbag light(s) and any faults. My dealer did this for me.

I also remember that the airbag sensor needs to be shut off with PIWIS before you remove the original seats. There was a thread on this. RL member had to put the seats back in, deactivate airbags, then remove seats. I bet the dealer didn't know that, and couldn't get the airbag light to shut off, so gave up
