Took delivery on 1/19
Clicked over 1000 miles on 2/17
Over that time I was traveling for a week,
Returned home only to get sick and was down hard for a solid week.
Then the car spent 3 days at the shop this week.

Storm trooper look, with the silver wheels.. is just as badass as some of the wacky "skittles" colors.. maybe better. Nice work. Can't decide if black wheels or silver looks better on white.
Or white.. have you considered white wheels even?

i would have left out the rear deck...but once the roll bar is in, that rear deck is inaccessible. And i wasn't sure how i would like it...noise and just in general.
the rear seat well carpet and top piece (that has GT3RS embroidered) can be taken in/out with the roll bar still in the car. Just remove the seats.
Also, I wanted to see if I could 'get down' with just the rear seat carpet removed before i cut the top piece which is $2500 and a 3-month wait to get it from PAG.:bang head:
ANYWAY.... I drove about 100 miles today and think i love it. It adds a lot more mechanical sounds and is just louder inside. I need more time with it. But I'm pretty sure I'm okay with the 'look'. (I'm sure some won't approve of the carpet removed. save it please and thank you.
I needed to order some new hardware for the harnesses... so the seats will have to come out again no matter what. I'll live with it until then... and then make a final decision.
I have access to metal fabrication quite easily. I was even toying with the idea of maybe a few 'cover plates' to cover a couple areas that could stand to be 'cleaned up' if i care to add a bit more of a finished 'look'. Who knows...we'll see.
Bottom line... SOOOOO DAMN HAPPY I GOT THE RS.

Damn it! I should have weighed ALL the damn pieces while I had them out!!! :bang head:
well, i'll at least weight what was removed at this point.
i bet all together it's a solid 25-35 lbs. It's certainly quality components with 'meat' to them.

I had CXX quote me. I couldn't pay the $4k+ for painted wheels that i wasn't 100% committed to.
But it could have been a nod to the 997 RS 4.0 that came with white.
I'll be changing up the looks from track season to track season. So this year, I'm running the v1 'PT3 RS' livery with black wheels.
(PS - I probably considered and had rendered no less that 25-30 different looks with ALL sorts of colors. I get a killer rate on renderings

Which roll cage did you choose?

Phil, 2 questions:
1. What roll cage? I was considering bbi
2. What trailer are you using? I would love something simple like that to pull my car around.
Thanks and congrats!
